Let's talk about the haunting: the business account that's also your grocery account, your gas account, and your "I needed that at Target" account.
I'm not here to shame anyone. It happens all the time, especially early on. But mixing personal and business spending makes your books harder to read, your taxes harder to prepare, and your real profit harder to see.
Nothing about it is scary once you separate it. It's just a habit to fix.
Simple starting point:
One account for the business, one for you. Pay yourself from the business, then spend from your own account. Your bookkeeper (me) will thank you.

Hi, I'm Rosie. 👋 I'm the person behind BR Financial Group.
A little about me: I'm a business owner, a reader, a documentary addict, and a genuine bookkeeping and tax nerd. I grew up in New York and built my life in North Carolina from scratch. I'm bilingual, and I'm building BRFG on purpose, one client and one system at a time.
Why financial services? Because money stress is real, and most of it comes from not understanding what's going on, not from not caring. When someone finally sees their numbers clearly, you can watch their shoulders drop. That's my favorite part of this work.
