If you use electric medical devices or assistive technology, do you have emergency plans in case of a power outage? This may include motorized wheelchairs, communications assistive devices, oxygen machines and more.
Talk with your health care provider about what to do in case of emergencies. Ask if your device can be powered by batteries or inquire about generator power. Inform local authorities in advance to let them know you should be on the priority list for power restoration.
