I could never have mapped it out.

One conversation led to another.
One relationship opened another door.
One small step created another opportunity to serve.

You don't need the whole road figured out. Just take the next step, and pay attention to the people God puts along the way.

Your next YES may not only be about where you're going. It may be about who you'll help when you get there.

One family at a time.
One community at a time.
Leave No Family Behind. ❤️

Yesterday I shared the YES that put me on a plane from Yap at 17. A lot of you messaged me, and I'm reading every one.
Today, let's make it practical.
You work hard for your money. What do you want it to make possible?
✔️ A little breathing room when the bills are due
✔️ Protecting your family, and retiring with fewer money worries
✔️ Leaving something lasting for your kids and the generations after them
✔️ Building something of your own
You don't have to have it all figured out. I didn't. Start with one question, or one conversation you've been putting off.
What's one step you're ready to take? DM me YES and let's talk.
Leave No Family Behind.

I grew up on Yap, walking barefoot, wearing a loincloth.

At 17, I got on a plane and left home for the first time. I didn't have a plan. I didn't know where life would take me.

But I went.

We get one go at this life. And some of the biggest changes in mine started with one word.

YES.

That one yes opened doors I never could have imagined. Friendships. Lessons. A whole new direction for my life.

Looking back, the best things in my life started before I felt ready.

You don't always get the whole map. Sometimes you just get the next step. It can be uncomfortable. Growth usually is.

One line has stayed with me: the brave may not live forever, but the cautious do not live at all.

So as we start October, here's my challenge: start this month with one yes.

What's one thing you've been holding back on because it feels uncertain, or a little scary? Maybe this is your month.

What are you ready to say yes to? Share it below, or comment YES and I'll message you. I'd love to hear it.

Happy National Sons Day to my son. ❤️

As you get older, moments like this mean even more to me. I’m grateful for the adventures, the laughs, the conversations, and simply getting to spend time together.

Can't wait for our next camp, next ski trip, next golf outing, next vacation, next hike or our next trip back to Yap together!

Proud of the man you’ve become, son. Life moves fast, so I’ll never take these moments for granted.

Love you always. ❤️🙏

Hawaii changed something in me.

I came home with more than memories — I came home even clearer on WHY this work matters.

We met families, educators, church and community leaders, all looking for better options and a better future.

And it reminded me:

One conversation can create hope.
One decision can change a family.
And one family can change a generation.

One family at a time.
One community at a time.

The mission continues. စာတို

Different stories. Different goals. But the conversations kept coming back to the same things:

How do I protect my family?

How do I make better decisions with what I earn?

How do I prepare for the future?

How do I help the next generation do better than we did?

We don't have to know everything. It starts with sitting down, listening, learning together, and taking one better step forward.

Mahalo to every family who opened their home and shared their story with us. 🙏

One family at a time.
One generation at a time.
One community at a time.

Sometimes the best conversations happen when you least expect them.

While spending the afternoon here in Hilo, Xavier and I had the blessing of meeting Roy and his daughter KC, enjoying an incredible home-cooked fried fish plate, and hearing what family, business and legacy mean to them.

Roy shared something simple but powerful: family is about caring for one another, caring for those around us, and giving more than we receive.

And KC reminded me that a family business can be about so much more than making money. It can be about freedom, spending time with the people you love, carrying on traditions, and sharing a piece of home with everyone you serve.

Her food carries a little bit of her grandma, papa, mom and dad in every plate.

That’s what legacy looks like.

Family. Culture. Hard work. Passing something meaningful from one generation to the next.

Big Island. Big heart. Big vision. ❤️🌺

Yesterday I sat with church leaders in Hilo and listened to what their families are carrying. Today, I'm sitting with the families themselves.

Not to pitch. To listen.

I grew up on a small island too, and nobody ever sat my family down and showed us the basics. That's why I'm here.

One family at a time. One conversation at a time.

Today Xavier and I head to the Big Island. 🌺

Over the past few days on Oahu, we sat down and listened to community leaders, educators, nonprofits, church leaders, and families. One message kept coming through: financial education needs to be more accessible, more practical, and more connected to what families actually face.

This isn't just about money. It's about protecting what you have, building a stronger foundation, and giving the next generation a better starting point.

And for those who want to go further, there's a pathway to learn, get licensed, grow as a leader, and bring this education home to your own community.

One family at a time. One community at a time. One new leader at a time.

If this speaks to you, comment MISSION and we'll connect.

Together, let's leave no family behind.

For almost 40 years, my job was to walk into the room with the answers.

Yesterday, I walked in to listen.

Xavier and I had the privilege of sitting down with two incredible Pacific Islander advocates, Dr. Mary Hattori and Carol Ann Carl.

What stayed with me most was the importance of listening.

Too often, people come into our communities believing they already know what we need. But meaningful change begins differently. It begins by listening to the people who know the culture, understand the challenges, and have been doing this work for many years.

Our Pacific communities already carry tremendous knowledge, creativity, resilience and strength. The answers are often already within us. What we need are stronger connections, shared resources, and more people willing to paddle together.

Mary and Carol Ann, thank you for your wisdom. Xavier, thank you for bringing us together.

This journey isn't about arriving with all the answers. It's about listening, learning, building trust, and discovering what we can accomplish together.

One conversation at a time. One person at a time. One family at a time.

Leave no family behind.
