Scam reminder:
This landed in my inbox this morning. It looks like Fidelity. It has the logo and a warning about a new sign-in. It’s a scam.
But here’s the important part: I didn’t click the link to figure that out.
If you get an unexpected email telling you there’s a problem with your bank, brokerage account, credit card, tax account, or anything else important, don’t click. Don’t even think about clicking. Open the app yourself. Type the website into your browser. Go to the original source and check there.
Scammers use urgency because they want you to react before you think. So don’t give them that advantage.
Normalize not clicking.
When in doubt, assume it’s a scam.
