Meet Sierra McEwen, a junior at Grand Canyon University and an ASCPA student member working toward her goal of becoming a CPA.

𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘩𝘦’𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨, you can find Sierra serving at her church as a door greeter and singing in the choir. For Sierra, both roles are about more than volunteering — they’ve helped her build communication skills, practice teamwork and learn the importance of making people feel welcome.

𝘏𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘢𝘭? Earn her CPA license and discover what area of accounting is the right fit for her.

Meet Reggie Alilonu, Managing Partner of Alilonu CPA and Financial Advisor with Ameriprise Financial Services.

Reggie’s work is all about helping clients find clarity and confidence in their financial lives — from navigating complex tax decisions to building long-term investment strategies.

Shout out to St. Mary's Food Bank for hosting the ASCPA team today! We had a blast giving back to the community today. Learning about St. Mary's distribution, overnight bags and service area was incredibly inspiring. Thank you for all you do for our neighbors!

Meet Garima Harlalka, an ASCPA student member and junior at Arizona State University studying 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗖𝗣𝗔 and hopes to build a career that combines accounting, technology and investigative problem-solving. She’s still exploring the many opportunities within the profession, with a long-term goal of using her accounting background to solve complex problems and make a meaningful impact.

𝗛𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿. Garima is an avid reader who especially enjoys biographies and learning about different perspectives. Her love of learning has also taken her around the world — from annual trips to India to a year as an exchange student in Germany, where she attended a German high school, lived with a host family and made friends from around the globe.
