The IRS is releasing the mandatory hold on refunds with CTC and EIC tomorrow. So those of you that filed early and have been patiently waiting…your wait should be over soon!

Good morning y’all - tax season is officially open so here is your personal invitation to get documents to me as soon as you can!

Processing times at IRS are getting longer. They are understaffed and have older equipment from what I’ve read so….

As of right now, e-file will open on 1-24-22 and the filing deadline for your 2021 tax returns are:
Individual/Sole Proprietor - 4/18/22
S corporation & Partnerships - 3/15/22
Non-profit - varies based on accounting year end

Advance child tax credit payments are scheduled to start releasing tomorrow. Please keep in mind this means IRS will be sending payments to your bank, if direct deposit info on file, but you need to give your bank a couple days to process and deposit to your account! They will also be mailing checks to the address on file (from most current tax return on file).

The IRS Where’s My Refund has not been working correctly. As far as I know it hasn’t worked correctly all tax season and there is no known reason other than it being overloaded by people wanting to check status of there much needed refund🤔

If you manage to get through to an actual person, sadly they are not much help either as I’ve had some people tell me they were even told the person they were talking to “can’t help you with that, please check the website”!

I wish I had a better answer but...all we can do is wait.

AZ has extended their tax deadline to match federal deadline of 5-17. Please check with your state revenue department as only 35 states have extended deadline!
