📣 **IRS Reminder: Estimated Tax Payment Due June 16!** 💸

Are you self-employed, a freelancer, an investor, or earn 1099 income?
The **second quarter estimated tax payment** is due **Monday, June 16, 2025**.

👉 If you expect to owe at least $1,000 in taxes for the year, the IRS requires quarterly payments to avoid penalties.

💼 This applies to:

* Gig workers & side hustlers
* Small business owners
* Retirees with taxable income
* S-Corp shareholders & partners

💻 The IRS recommends making payments electronically via:

* [IRS Direct Pay](https://www.irs.gov/payments)
* IRS2Go app
* EFTPS
* Online Account access

📆 Don’t fall behind—paying on time helps avoid surprises at tax time.

**⏳ Understand Tax Refund Timelines & Avoid Delays! 💸**

While the IRS issues most refunds within **21 days**, it’s important not to depend on a specific date for major purchases or bill payments. Here’s why:

🔍 **Potential Delays:**
- Returns with errors or missing information may require additional review.
- Identity theft or fraud checks can extend processing times.

📅 **PATH Act Reminder:**
If your return includes the **Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)** or **Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC)**, the IRS cannot issue your refund before **mid-February**. This delay applies to the entire refund, not just the portion related to these credits.

💡 **Tip:** To avoid delays, double-check your return for accuracy and ensure all necessary information is included. Stay informed, and plan your finances accordingly!

**📢 Reminder: Get Ready to Report Digital Assets on Your 2024 Taxes! 🖥️💰**

Tax season is approaching, and if you had **digital asset transactions** in 2024, here’s what you need to know for your 2025 federal tax return:

🔑 **What Are Digital Assets?**
Digital assets include property stored electronically that can be bought, sold, owned, or traded. Examples:
- **Cryptocurrencies** (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum)
- **Stablecoins**
- **Non-fungible tokens (NFTs)**

📝 **What You Need to Do:**
1️⃣ Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including purchases, receipts, sales, exchanges, or other disposals.
2️⃣ Ensure you note the **fair market value** (in U.S. dollars) of digital assets received as income or payment.

📋 **Key Tax Filing Question:**
When filing your 2024 taxes, you’ll answer:
“At any time during the year, did you:
(a) receive (as a reward, prize, or payment for goods/services); or
(b) sell, exchange, or otherwise dispose of a digital asset (or a financial interest in one)?”

💡 If you answer “Yes,” you’ll need to report all related income and transactions.

📚 **Need Help?**
Visit the IRS digital asset homepage and FAQ on [IRS.gov](https://www.irs.gov) for guidance on:
- Calculating capital gains/losses
- Determining your asset basis
- Reporting income on the correct tax form

Plan ahead, stay informed, and file your digital asset transactions accurately!

**📢 Important Update: Changes to 1099-K Reporting for 2024**

Starting in January 2025, taxpayers who received **over $5,000** in payments for goods and services through online marketplaces or payment apps in 2024 will receive a **Form 1099-K**. A copy of this form will also be sent to the IRS.

🔑 **What You Need to Know:**
- The IRS is phasing in the new reporting threshold, but **there’s no change to the taxation of income.**
- **All income**—from part-time work, side gigs, or selling goods and services—must be reported on your tax return, even if you don’t receive a 1099-K.
- The absence of a form does not exempt you from reporting taxable income.

💡 **Why is Form 1099-K Important?**
- It helps calculate and report the correct income on your tax return.
- If you received a 1099-K by mistake, take steps to address it promptly.

📝 **Pro Tip:** Keep detailed records of all income and transactions to ensure smooth and accurate tax filing.

Stay informed and prepared for tax season! 📂

📢 **Important Update: Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting**

In light of a recent federal court order, reporting companies are *not currently required* to file beneficial ownership information (BOI) reports with FinCEN. Furthermore, companies will *not be held liable* for failing to submit BOI reports while this order remains in effect.

However, reporting companies may still choose to voluntarily submit BOI reports during this period if they wish to ensure readiness and compliance for potential future requirements.

Stay informed, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need guidance. We'll continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
