“You say you want love, but are you healed enough to sustain it?” — Erica, Purposed & Powerful Podcast

Wanting love and being emotionally available for love are two different things.

We all have wounds. The question is whether we allow those wounds to define us—or allow God to heal them.

Healing isn't about becoming perfect.
It's about becoming emotionally available to love well and to be loved well.

The healthier we become, the healthier our relationships become.

“Healing is personal, but the impact is always relational.” — Erica, Purposed & Powerful Podcast

Healing may start within you, but it doesn't stay there.

Your unhealed pain can affect how you communicate, how you trust, how you love, and how you respond to the people closest to you.

Your pain may explain why you respond the way you do—but it doesn't excuse the damage you continue to cause if you refuse to address it.

Healing yourself can change more than your own life. It can change the relationships around you.

“Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things...” – Matthew 25:21

The servants weren't evaluated simply on what they received.

They were accountable for what they did with it.

Different amounts.
Different capacity.
Same expectation:

Faithful stewardship.

The question isn't whether your assignment looks like someone else's.

The question is whether you're faithfully stewarding yours.

“God gives us an off ramp for our pain, our fear, and our mistrust. The challenge is, are we strong enough to take it?” — Thomas, Purposed & Powerful Podcast

Sometimes healing is right in front of us, but we’re afraid to take the next step.

You finally meet someone good—but you're still carrying old pain. You don't want to open up. You don't want to risk being hurt again. You tell yourself, “It’s not the right time.”

But when is the right time to deal with what’s hurting you?

Healing may require you to take the exit from the patterns that have kept you guarded.

“Unhealed wounds don’t stop us from wanting love. They change how we actually respond to it.” — Erica, Purposed & Powerful Podcast

Emotional unavailability doesn’t always mean you don’t care.

Sometimes you care deeply—but fear makes it difficult to trust, receive, or sustain healthy love.

When an unhealed wound expects disappointment, it can make you question genuine intentions and protect yourself from the very connection you’ve been praying for.

You don’t become unavailable because you don’t want love.
Sometimes, your pain convinces you that love isn’t safe.

Healing matters because healthy love needs room to be received.

Your finances?
Your time?
Your relationships?
Your gifts?
Your business?
Your health?
Your calling?

This isn't about condemnation.

It's about awareness.

Sometimes accountability simply gives us the clarity to recognize what needs our attention next.

What's one area you're choosing to steward more intentionally?

Take a moment to reflect, then share your answer in the comments.

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much...” – Luke 16:10

Jesus connects faithfulness in little things with faithfulness in greater things.

The lesson isn't to chase "much."

It's to become faithful with little.

Don't overlook the assignment because it seems small.
Don't postpone excellence until someone notices.
Don't wait for greater resources before practicing stewardship.

Be faithful with what is already in your hands.

Maybe it's a relationship.

A gift you haven't developed.
A small business.
A few dollars you could begin saving.
A responsibility nobody sees.
A habit you keep postponing.

Sometimes the things that appear insignificant are exactly where our growth is happening.

What's one "small thing" you're choosing to steward more faithfully?

Share your answer in the comments. Your small step might inspire someone else to stop overlooking what they already have.

It's easy to imagine what we would do with more.

More opportunity.
More influence.
More resources.
More responsibility.

But stewardship asks a different question:
What are you doing with what you have now?

The assignment doesn't have to be big to deserve your best.
The audience doesn't have to be large for your voice to matter.
The opportunity doesn't have to be impressive for your obedience to count.

Faithfulness isn't waiting for something bigger.
Faithfulness starts here.

What is one small assignment or opportunity in your life that deserves your best right now?

Share your reflection in the comments.
