Excited to welcome Jake to GreenUp Wealth! Jake interned with us for two summers and recently graduated from the University of Missouri Personal Financial Planning Program. He joins us as our first Wealth Advisor Associate. Great things ahead!
GreenUp Wealth Management is growing again!
We’re excited to officially welcome Jake Schmitt to the GreenUp Wealth Management family as our first Wealth Advisor Associate.
Having been part of the GreenUp story since its earliest days, Jake was drawn to the firm’s entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering commitment to helping advisors and clients thrive. As the inaugural member of GreenUp’s Business Development team, Jake plays a key role in supporting advisor growth through lead generation, setting prospect appointments for advisors, financial planning support, and other initiatives designed to help advisors build and scale their practices.
Before joining GreenUp Wealth Management full-time as a Wealth Advisor Associate, Jake served as the firm’s very first intern, spending two summers contributing to the firm’s growth. During his final internship, he helped pilot GreenUp’s Business Development Desk. The success of that pilot laid the foundation for GreenUp’s continued investment in business development and advisor growth. Jake graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia’s nationally recognized Personal Financial Planning Program in 2026.
Outside of the office, Jake enjoys following Manchester City, UFC and spending time with family and friends. He takes great pride in GreenUp’s journey and is passionate about contributing to the next chapter of the firm’s growth while helping advisors make true impact to clients.

My colleague, Grace Arnold, and I formerly worked for the same financial firm. When said firm made one of their most regrettable decisions, we were beyond happy to welcome her at GreenUp Wealth Management. This article will give you just a taste of her brilliance.
On a personal note, there are many females in my family for whom I care deeply, the same can be said for the wonderful women friends in my life. Women and finances have often been an easy target for jokes. We would love to change the narrative. Please take a minute and read Grace’s Letter to her Daughters. It’s a beautifully written financial love story that Grace hopes will empower daughters and women to take charge of their financial lives.
Have questions? Please reach out.
A Letter for My Daughters, Women and People Ready to Reclaim Their Financial Power
Grace Arnold of GreenUp Wealth writes an open letter to her daughters and all women on reclaiming financial confidence and ditching 'girl math.'

This guy showed up at my home office door like he had a question…
“Is it safe out there yet?”
Funny thing is, a lot of investors ask the same thing—just in a different way.
* Is now a good time to invest?
* Should I wait for the market to settle down?
* What if I make the wrong move?
Here’s the truth:
If a groundhog waited for perfect conditions, he’d never leave the burrow.
And if investors wait for perfect markets… they miss opportunity.
Markets, like seasons, are always changing.
There’s volatility. There’s uncertainty. There are long winters and strong springs.
But successful investors don’t try to predict every shadow—they prepare for every season.
✔️ They stay invested
✔️ They diversify
✔️ They think long-term
✔️ They don’t let fear make the decisions
Because in the end, wealth isn’t built by reacting to every forecast…
…it’s built by sticking to a plan.
So next time the market feels uncertain, ask yourself:
👉 Am I reacting like the groundhog… or investing like someone who’s seen a few seasons?
