Friendly reminder for all our Kerby Accounting clients: two big IRS deadlines are coming up.
September 15, 2026: Corporations, trusts, partnerships, and S-corporations October 15, 2026: Individual (personal) returns
To keep everything on track, we ask that you send us your documents at least 30 days before your deadline. That is the window our team needs to prepare your return accurately and file it on time.
It's Friday, so why not make it a weekend project? A little time spent digging up receipts and statements now saves you a scramble later.
Already sent everything? Wonderful, no action needed on your end. Still missing a few documents? Send them our way as soon as you can.
Have questions? Give our office a call. We are happy to help.

We want to introduce you to someone very special: Kari, the founder and heart of this firm! 💛
Kari didn't just start an accounting business. She built a team, a culture, and a place where clients feel like people, not file numbers.
She's the kind of accountant who will spot something in your books that saves you thousands AND make you laugh in the same conversation. 😄
Her superpower? Making people feel confident about their finances, sometimes for the very first time.
If you've ever worked with us, you've experienced what Kari built. We hope it shows.
Tell us what's the #1 thing you want from your accountant? We'd love to hear! 👇

April 15th is behind us — and whether you filed on time or received an automatic extension, there are smart steps you can take right now to stay ahead.
✅ If you filed on time:
• Take a breath — you're done! But don't close that chapter just yet.
• Review your refund or balance due and make sure everything cleared.
• Start a simple folder (physical or digital) for your 2025 documents. Future-you will be grateful.
• Think about any life changes this year — new job, new home, growing family — and how they might affect next year's taxes.
⏳ If you were automatically extended:
• Remember: an extension gives you more time to file, not more time to pay. If you owe, interest may already be accumulating.
• Gather your remaining documents now — don't wait until October.
• Use this time wisely. The extension deadline is October 15th, but sooner is always better.
Tax season doesn't have to be stressful when you stay organized year-round. You've got this! 💛

PLAN TO HIRE? Many small businesses need external business financing to do so (the same goes for investing in new inventory and product development). To get that loan, you’ll need financial statements, including a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.
