Budget to Success

I remember when I first started social media I was brutally honest & cutthroat if I may add. I understand it wasn't everyone's cup of tea.

Along the way, I feel like I lost my voice by trying to satisfy others when that's not who I am.

I am that Financial Coach who is going to tell you what you need to hear and not what you want to hear.

Too many people want to be coggled by the truths to excuse their bull💩and honestly that’s not me. I love hard and love what I do.

When I say things nice people don't understand. Yes, this post may hurt your feelings but if it sparks change behavior then I’m doing my job.

Idk who needs to hear this but with the state of the economy you cannot afford not to get your finances in order.

So stop making excuses and get your sh*t together!

The last two months have been heavy. My daughter went from being a perfectly healthy kid a track star at that to getting sick out of nowhere.

As a mom, I’ve been beyond exhausted mentally and physically but I focus on what I can control and not what I cannot.

I take the good with the bad and I choose to focus on the positive. Most of all I’m forever grateful.

Grateful that I don’t have to choose between work or being by her side. Because there was once a time I didn't have this luxury. I’ve worked so hard that I don’t have to call in, ask for time off, or worry about lost income. Let alone all of this impacting my credit.

This was the moment financial freedom became real for me.

I built a life where I could show up be a present mom. Be still. And never have to sacrifice being a mom to make money. My company still runs without me.

And this is what I want for every single person connected to me. Baby, it took a while to get here but beyond thankful!

Success wasn't handed to me I had to get up and go get it.

A lot of people don’t know who I am. Then let me explain. I often say I’m just a black girl that grew up the hood and made a way out of no way.

But I’m so much more than that.

I often sleep on myself because I stay out the way and just go after my dreams and goals. I don’t make excuses because when you go looking for one you’ll find one.

I just don’t give up and you shouldn’t either. It’s not about where you come from but where you’re going.

You are success — it’s just time for you to do the work. We all have a sad story, so ask yourself will you use yours to motivate you?

Idk about you 🙋🏽‍♀️ but how do you keep your creativity alive when it starts to feel forced?

From when I say F* those kids I don’t mean it literally, but to stress the importance of not losing your identity while being a parent.

Allow me to reintroduce myself 👋🏽

I am Nicka Johnson. I grew up in Omaha, NE and yes there are black people in Nebraska 🙄 more than land and cornfields 😂🌽♥️

I grew up in a fatherless home and to this day he will walk into the same room and not speak to me 🤷🏽‍♀️. Much of my passion comes from being broke. People always ask me who motivates me and my answer is myself. I grew up in an environment around a whole bunch of mf I didn't want to be like.

I know what it’s like struggling as a kid and my mother did the best she could (shout out to her ♥️). Yet, I always wanted MORE! Where I come from people barely made $20k annually!

To date, the annual income is now $34,980 (per US Census) — which is why I go so hard helping people break the cycle of living paycheck to paycheck.

I’ve always said being born into poverty isn’t a choice, but staying there is. So just ask yourself what are you going to choose.

So those who are new to following me or don’t know my story I didn’t grow up rich but I turned my struggles into lessons and my lessons into success. If I can do it, so can you. Your story isn’t over—it’s just beginning 🫶🏽

I want to helpppppp 🤌🏽 what’s your biggest struggle when it comes to money?

I’ll go first—- survivor remorse; feeling obligated to be there for everybody from family and friends because I made it and didn't want people to think I forgot where I came from. I was too busy being loyal to the wrong people instead of being loyal to MYSELF!
