7 Financial Moves to Consider Before Year End
I turn 40 this month, which has me thinking about time, effort, and the value of starting before you feel ready. Fitting, since this month's newsletter is all about the financial moves worth making before the year ends.
One of the most common mistakes I see is waiting until November or December to start thinking about taxes, retirement contributions, and other planning. Many of the best decisions take time, and some opportunities disappear once the calendar year closes.
This month I cover: Retirement contribution reviews, Roth conversion opportunities, Capital gains and loss planning, Beneficiary designation reviews Charitable giving strategies, Emergency fund checkups, Overall plan reviews
You do not need dramatic changes to improve your financial future. Most success comes from consistent reviews and thoughtful decisions over time.

You can borrow for college. You cannot borrow for retirement.
Helping your kids and grandkids get ahead is one of the best things you can do. But it should not come at the cost of your own future.
This month I share how Omaha families can do both wisely: which savings tools fit which goals, how to keep your own plan on track, and a question I keep getting from parents and grandparents.

This is a step in the right direction. When I saw this article I couldn't wait to share it. I have had numerous conversations with people who wish they had a finance 101 class in high school and hoped their kids would have access to one. Hope more states and schools adopt this.
