Everyone's talking about the OpenAI and SpaceX IPOs — and a lot of people are already planning to buy in on day one.

Before you do, consider this: Facebook dropped 50% in its first three months as a public company. Snap jumped 44% on opening day and still hasn't fully recovered. Uber and Lyft were both hitting record lows just months after their big debuts.

Day one of a hyped IPO is usually one of the worst times to buy — not because the company is bad, but because the excitement drives the price way above where it should be.

I wrote a full breakdown of the pattern, what the data actually shows, and when history suggests the better entry points really are. Worth a read if you’re thinking about jumping into the next big IPO.

Wondering what the stock market will do next? Instead of chasing predictions, focus on what you can control! Stay invested and ask, 'Regardless of market moves, how can we boost our chances of success?' This mindset shift is key for effective financial planning and investing. 🌟📈

Ever wonder what you should look for in a financial advisor?

I started Vault because I was tired of the traditional financial services model and all of the things that went with it. I wanted to create a firm where we could work directly for clients as opposed to some national corporation with its own agendas. I wanted to be able to provide the kind of objective, unbiased advice and wealth-building strategies I was interested in for my own family. I wanted to go beyond the traditional cookie-cutter mutual fund or annuity portfolio and incorporate things like real estate, private equity, etc. I knew there had to be a better way, so I set out to create it. It was out of this idea and desire that Vault was born.

Good financial planning should always start with a person's unique values and vision for the future. That's what makes it personal.

Once you are clear on your values & vision then planning becomes a function of which financial habits & actions are most in line and likely to get you to your goal as efficiently as possible.

Money is simply a tool 🔨. If used wisely it can make accomplishing your life's purpose easier instead of harder.
