“Not nice, slide.” 🛝
That’s what my daughter said after taking a tumble off the slide at the playground. She pointed at it with all the attitude in the world 😤, gave it the side-eye 👀, and wanted nothing to do with it for the rest of the day.
And honestly? I didn’t blame her.
But right before we were about to leave, she walked back to that slide. Climbed it. And went down — smiling. 😊
I was ready to rush out and beat traffic 🚗💨. But my wife reminded me: this was the moment. Not to move past, not to overlook. A small window for confidence and courage that we almost missed. 💡
It reminded me a lot of financial planning.
Sometimes our clients take a “fall” — a bad investment, a surprise expense, a decision they regret 💥. They avoid talking about it. They call it “not nice” and push it away.
But given time, support, and space, most people come back to confront it. On their own terms. 💬
Our job isn’t to rush the moment. It’s to create it.
That’s where growth happens — on the other side of the slide. 🌱
What’s been your “not nice slide” moment — personally or financially — that you came back to with a little more courage the second time around? 👇
