Christina Massey’s piece from THE CARBONATION COLLECTION graces our 2017 Cabernet Franc. As the name suggests, this collection is a nod to climate change: each piece has an abstract, botanical appearance with colors we associate with seasons & temperatures...that are not what they used to be.

“If there is a book you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, you must be the one to write it. Your life is already artful — waiting, just waiting, for you to make it art.”

Honoring this visionary force of nature & QUEEN.

Watercoloring + wine are a natural combo - the latter is art you can drink 🤓.

Did you know Alie produces Love Lane Kitchen’s house rosé?

”Caroline Iannone, owner of Love Lane Kitchen, whose wine list holds the rare distinction of consisting entirely of wine produced by North Fork vineyards. ‘It’s so nice to have that local connection. Our local winemakers care about their region. They tend to the land and grow something that is special.’

Much like how she looks to locally sourced ingredients to influence her ever-evolving menu of breakfast, lunch & dinner options, Iannone, a certified sommelier, turns to her friends + neighbors in the wine industry to inform her wine list.” 🤗

During our 8+ hour photo shoot, we got sidetracked at Patty's Berries & Bunches. Her glorious flowers + baskets of vine-ripened berries pulled us in. 💐 🍓 We credit her just-made mint ice cream though, for picking up our low blood sugar so we could persevere.🍦 👊

👀 can you spot our tasting room, Peconic Cellar Door?

New Yorkers, did you know great wine is literally in your backyard? The first winery in Long Island opened up way back in 1973! The North Fork maritime climate is ideal from grape-growing, w/ hot summers but cooling winds coming from the Atlantic. 💨

Its climate is similar to Bordeaux, so many Bordelaise varieties thrive in area, such as Cab Franc, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc. 🍇

It’s going to be unbearably hot this weekend, so grab a chilled bottle and your people, and complete these indoor drinking exercises. That’s an order.

1. Google image search or draw a weird animal combination. Then name it.
2. Learn to dance to Kid’n play.
3. Make Pasta. From Scratch. Get Messy.

Mary Pino, The Gilded Grape founder, next to Simone’s mom (we keep it all in the family).

"I am originally from Brooklyn and Brooklyn has been going through some changes the past few years. I wanted to be apart of that change and have a place in my neighborhood. I looked for the need our neighborhood was missing and went from there. Prior to opening up the Gilded Grape, I was in accounting...but the wine industry is a lot more fun.” AGREED!

This summer she’s drinking our “Haywater Cove Rosé, out of the fridge quiches my thirst. My customers can’t get enough”. Pop by her shop and check out the Kensington neighborhood cuz it’s on 🔥: “mezcal bar La Loba Cantina — they make THE BEST cocktails, also Wheated Brooklyn for pizza and $1 oysters on Thursdays at Le Paddock.”

The origin of the Cosmo, pre-dates SATC: Cheryl Cook, a bartender working in South Beach in the 70s, responded to customers who wanted a sophisticated, yet sweeter drink than a traditional martini...so she created one using lemon-infused vodka + triple sec combined w/ lime + cranberry juice to give it a pink hue.

Fast-forward to 2019 and the geniuses behind the bar at Butter & Scotch update this 90’s babe w/ our rosé.

Get it.
Tonight at Butter&Scotch.
$8 til 8pm.
