My thoughts for today !!This blog post is rated NC17. Before reading, know that it contains language that could be considered inappropriate and offensive.
While we say this with good humor, the reality is people are living longer and longer. And for some, the golden years are not so shiny. Our message to all our clients is to seek out proper health insurance protection, especially long-term care.
We offer numerous solutions in the area of long-term care policies, whether it be life insurance policies that have long-term care riders, or a hybrid policy where you’re making one payment and getting a paid up long-term care life insurance policy.
I don’t know that we can change the fact that people are going to get droopy and poopy. But what we can change is whether or not they have to subject their children to being caregivers because they don’t have the money to pay for the care they need.
Give us a call, and let’s discuss how we can set up the best program for you and your clients.

Thursday May 21st, 1pm ET -- Protection First and Why We Do It.
Free Zoom training for financial advisors.
This is about making the philosophical and practical case for why protection belongs at the front of every planning conversation -- with language you can actually use in a client meeting.
If the insurance conversation ever feels like an uphill battle, this reframes it entirely.

I've watched beautiful financial plans fall apart.
Solid investment strategy. Thoughtful retirement income. Carefully set goals.
Then the client gets a cancer diagnosis at 54. Or dies on the way home from the goal-setting meeting. And none of it matters.
Protection isn't a product category. It's the reason the rest of the plan has a chance to work. When advisors lead with that, clients feel it. When they tack it on at the end, clients treat it like an add-on.

How do you open the protection conversation? I'm genuinely curious.

Thursday May 14th, 1pm ET -- Active Duty Military DI & SGLI/VGLI.
Free Zoom training.
We'll go through how DI underwriting works for active duty members, what SGLI actually covers and where the gaps are, and what advisors need to know about the VGLI transition.
Military families are underserved in this industry.
This training is one step toward changing that.

Most service members think SGLI has them covered, and while they're not wrong, they're also not fully right.
$400,000 sounds like a lot until you do the math on what a young family actually needs. And the VGLI transition when they separate?
Most of them have no idea what they're walking into.
Active duty DI underwriting is its own world too --
completely different rules than civilian underwriting.
Thursday May 14th at 1pm ET we're covering all of it.
Free Zoom for advisors.

I talk to a lot of advisors who have a general sense of a product lineup
but have never really dug into the details.
That gap usually shows up in client meetings at the worst possible time.
Next Thursday May 7th at 1pm ET we're walking through the MassMutual
Ascent Annuity Products with Michelle Miller - what's in the lineup, how each one is positioned, and where they actually fit in a client's plan.
Whether you're writing a lot of MassMutual business or just curious,
it's worth the hour. Free Zoom, link in comments.
What product questions do you get most from clients right now?
