At our first Connect event in NYC, Mike LaMena shared a simple idea that stuck with many of us.
When a business grows, it creates more opportunities for people to grow with it. That shows up across our teams every day, including as we welcome a new class of interns to Wealthspire.

Recently, we hosted a women's event in Milwaukee, and a few conversations from the evening have continued to stay with us.
One of the themes that carried throughout the evening was the idea that financial planning often starts with simple conversations and small decisions. Our speakers talked about the importance of sitting down with your partner to define your top three goals and make sure you’re aligned on what matters most. That naturally led into a broader discussion around planning for the future, including the importance of having an estate plan in place so your wishes, rather than intestacy laws, guide those decisions. We also spent time talking about the impact of consistency over time, whether that’s automating contributions to a Roth IRA or 401(k) or building habits that make saving feel effortless.
What made the evening so impactful was the openness in the room and the willingness to share experiences and perspectives with one another. Grateful for the honest dialogue and the community that made these conversations so meaningful.
