As of 3/31, the IRS now created publication 607 that states ALL payments made to pay off your tax liability are DEDUCTIBLE.

SIKEEEE APRIL FOOLS!!

The IRS would never allow this. Y'all know how they are 🙄

Payments made throughout the year towards your 2025 tax debt (otherwise called estimated tax payments), or any tax bills you's paid on 4/15, are still not deductible. Meaning, they are a personal expense.

Should we be able to write off our tax payments?

Career day 2025 🤓☝🏽

Today, I had the honor of being a presenter for career day in HS thanks to who pmo 🥹❣️

I never imagined being a panelist, but it felt really really amazing being up there and sharing what I do and why I do it to the kind students! In the end, we had an activity where they had to create a profit n loss report, and whoever gets the profit right wins some treats! (Shoutout to my friends who gave me this idea bc I was really struggling w this) 💀😭😂 the students were really engaged!

I also had a deja vu moment when i was walking down the halls. I had a dream, like monthssssss ago, about walking in those exact halls. I can't remember why I was there 💀 but they looked so familiar, so it seems like this was meant to happen 😀👍🏼

That lil thank you note lowkey made me teary eyed haha. Anyway, today was a beautiful day. Now to get to reality & work ✨️

These past months went the complete opposite as I planned/imagined it to 🙃

I had four potential clients ✨️ and I was so hype because I love what I do, and I was so excited to venture into new industries. This would also help me hit my revenue goal that I have for 2024.

However, it all went downhill. Quickly. Nobody ended up signing on. I was ghosted. Boundaries were passed. I felt like I was being too nice (my fault). I just felt defeated.

One second you can be at the top of the world and the next you're in the biggest slump of your life...

But then I got a message from a nonprofit who came from a referral. We connected instantly and they told me they'd give me a runthrough how the business works bc I was open when I said I have no experience with nonprofits.

Today, we're working together, we had our onboarding call last week, and it's REALLY comprehensible. Not only are they an ideal client, but they're also in my city which makes it SO MUCH MORE DREAMY because this opens doors for me to serve more nonprofits from my city!!!! 🥹

I also got a contracting project which I'm sooo grateful for!!! 🥹

Moral - no matter how many no's you get, don't give up. With every no, you are closer to finding that quick, and easy YES dream client. Successful people don't stop when they get rejected, they just adjust and try again.

How has your year started off?

2024 felt like riding this bull 😶. It was fun and sometimes felt like some BU****it 😉

I saw a post showing the ups n downs of their biz n I wanted to do the same for transparency bc doing this isn't all unicorns n rainbows:

This year, I:
- spent so much money on my dog. It was really really fu***ng hard financially. Glad she's ok now but 😪
- spent like half the year contemplating on whether I want to fully start a construction biz w my dad
- got my boundaries tested
- had my car broken into and things stolen
- had an awful end of the year dealing with asthma in the er
- had multiple breakdowns on whether I can actually achieve what I want
- slacked on my consistency online

However, on the bright side, I 🌈:
- quit w**d on Jan 15 I think it was. This is something I often forget about but I never imagined being in this position where I get 0 cravings. Well except for today. I was craving it bc I was feeling like death
- made enough money coming in that I could afford my dog's care and stayed home to watch her
- actually brought the construction biz to life. It's been so slow but at least it's existent 😅
- tried to put myself first by hiring a fitness coach so I can get strong and lose fat
- fell off this consistency bc of life and health but I'm able to actually get back to it everytime
- am in my first happy n healthy relationship
- practiced gratitude way more
- still had money coming in/was able to help clients despite my lack of consistency. There was always work for me
- was able to dedicate more time in my nonprofit job!

There's a duality to life n I love the saying, life is like a dick. Sometimes it will be down, sometimes up. But it wont be hard forever.
