Our office will be closed Wednesday, March 26th - we will resume our normal office hours Thursday, March 27th.

From the bottom of our hearts we thank all of you that have supported our family in understand, thoughts, prayers, encouragement, and for all the flowers, cards, meals and sweet treats as we navigated the loss of Victoria’s father.

Yes, we are still open for business!
And, yes we are aware we have upset several clients for our lack of communication. In no way was it intentional or for the sheer fact of ghosting anyone. My husband and I have prided ourselves on building strong relationships with our clients over the past 20 years and have bent over backwards to do everything in our power to help however we can - in and out of the office. We thought with the economy it would help our clients to keep our prices as low as possible another year in turn keeping staff at the bear minimum since every other expense for our office nearly doubled - programs, security (physical and cyber), insurance, supplies, etc.
However, 2024 was a rough year for us personally and our family with medical issues and since we do not keep staff year round it absolutely hinder our normal “after season” availability. We are working hard to get our office back in order the way it should be, the way we worked so hard for so many years to build. We apologize from the bottom of our hearts we had a horrible year and completely understand if anyone feels it best to find someone else to work with.
Being completely transparent…..
1) We had NO idea until today our website was down and honestly have no idea why but we will look into it as we are not the web developer or host for it.
2) I, unfortunately, have to have surgery and as hard as we tried it was not something that could be done before now or after April so my surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 14th and I will be out of the office until possibly Jan. 20th. However, Michael and/or an employee will be there during office hours! They will do everything to help and we know situations may arise that I’m the only one that can fully handle or resolve so please note I WILL not be available to do so until after I return.
3) Facebook is not regularly monitored as a form of communication with our office. We tried in the past to utilize the platform but it was unsuccessful in our opinion as it took time and resources away from other much needed tasks.

Again, we are truly sorry for the disconnect and are working hard to implement the necessary changes needed!

Tax Time is quickly approaching!
Starting Monday January 8th we will be back to normal business hours.

Monday-Friday 9am-6pm
Saturday 9am-4pm
Sunday CLOSED

Our new phone systems are switched over and we couldn’t be happier. Our extensions and voicemails are in the works and should be finalized in the setup tomorrow.

As we quickly approach Tax Season we wanted to reach out to our Valued Clients and Potential New Clients….
We pride ourself on being a Family Owned and Operated Business with a Small Town Vibe. We all know New Braunfels is growing and therefore we too have been extremely Blessed with growth. Unfortunately, with growth comes growing pains and last year opened our eyes to those growing pains so we have made some necessary changes to adapt to our growth.
First and foremost, we have made the decision to add to our team another trusted and dependable Full Time Preparer along with a Full Time Receptionist. We feel adding another Preparer will allow us to accommodate Walk-In’s and Drop-Off’s in a timely manner without taking away from our Clients who have Scheduled Appointments. This being said that does mean Victoria can NOT take on every Appointment or Walk-In personally BUT rest assure she double checks EVERY Return before it is finalized and transmitted. We are also in agreement that by adding a Full Time Receptionist it will give us as a whole Team better communication, flow and follow-up capability in a timely manner.
Secondly, we found it necessary to have a Professional Web-Developer design a new Website for us. Our new Website address is www.shieldtaxservicetx.com
You will notice it is simple to navigate and reflects updated services with detailed descriptions along with a few Buttons to new and improved programs we have added to improve Client Relations.
Which brings us to our most important change….Client Relations! We value each and every one of our Clients and whole heartedly appreciate that we are trusted with your Business and your Referrals. We are aware that our communication and follow-up has fallen through the cracks and we believe that is unacceptable therefore, we have added a few new Programs and are implementing a better in house Workflow System. You will notice an Appointment Button has been added to our website so you can easily schedule an appointment directly online. Of course, our Receptionists is available during business hours to assist with scheduling and/or rescheduling if you prefer or run into any trouble with our online system. You may notice, our Facebook Appointment Scheduling has been removed as we ran into multiple issues with that system therefore, disabling it was necessary to avoid further issues and/or missed or overbooked appointments. Over the years we have had a couple email address that like most get jammed up with junk mail. As these emails are still monitored we would like to redirect email communication through our website email: [email protected] as it will be monitored by multiple Team Members. As promised, we have implemented ShareFile this year allowing YOU Secured access to YOUR Tax Records from any computer, tablet or smart phone. In the past we used Taxes To Go as a secure way to upload Tax Documents and/or Sign and Download Tax Returns. We noticed early on that while Taxes To Go was a great system for some it was not for others and we want a system that is the best possible match for ALL our clients. We will be setting up a Folder for you and sending out a link to the email provided to us so please verify we have a good email address when scheduling your appointment. We are working out the details on getting this feature added to our website for convenient access.
