What a weekend! We had such a great time celebrating Lee's wedding to Dot. A big group from our team showed up to cheer them on and celebrate this exciting new chapter. Congratulations to the happy couple!

Meet Eric Marbach, the newest tax manager to join the Puryear & Noonan family! A Northern Illinois University grad with seven years of experience, Eric thrives on getting to know a wide range of clients. Originally from Naperville, IL and now settled in Franklin, TN, Eric recently got married and is a lifelong tennis player who once competed at the collegiate level. Welcome to the team, Eric!

We recently kicked off summer with an outdoor movie night, complete with hot dogs, popcorn, candy and a bounce house for the kids (and let's be honest, some of the adults too). We gathered together to watch The Princess Bride, and even though it didn’t go quite as planned, the laughs and good company made it a night to remember.

We love any excuse to celebrate our team, and last week we got to do just that for Lee and his fiance Dot with a wedding shower. Between the laughter, the well wishes and a seriously delicious cake, it was such a sweet afternoon. We could not be more excited for this wonderful couple and wish them a lifetime of love ahead.

That's a wrap on Summer Fridays. Looking back, this summer gave us more time for the things that matter, family, friends, a little sunshine on a Friday afternoon instead of a workday. Next week we're back to our normal schedule, but we're grateful this is something Puryear & Noonan makes space for every year.

Filling up looks a little different this summer, and so does the mileage deduction. As of July 1, the IRS standard business mileage rate ticked up to 76 cents per mile. If you're driving for work, this is your reminder that good mileage records can mean real dollars back at tax time.

Summer Fridays have meant a lot of long weekends around here, and as we head toward the end of that season, we can't think of a better way to spend one than knocking out back-to-school shopping during Tennessee's tax-free weekend, July 31 through August 2. A little time back for our team, a little money back for your family.

Meet Lyndsi Snyder, our newest Staff Accountant in the audit department! 🎉

Lyndsi is originally from Bowling Green, KY and now lives in Colorado Springs, CO. She's a familiar face at P&N, having interned with us before, and brings over a year of public accounting experience in tax plus her CPA and her degree from Western Kentucky University.

What excites her most about her role is the chance to learn, grow, and get hands-on with the audit process across different clients and industries.

When she's not working, she's hiking, skiing, camping, or at a live show. Fun fact: she met Taylor Swift and snagged a picture with her at one of Taylor's very first concerts!
