What happens to your business when the person with all the answers suddenly isn't available?

For a lot of small businesses, the biggest risk isn't a lack of capable employees. It's that so much important information lives in the owner's head.

Payroll. Banking. Vendor relationships. Important deadlines. The little things that keep everything running.

At Padgett, we periodically review our own business continuity plan, and we think it's something every business owner should consider.

So we're sharing our Business Continuity & Emergency Information Plan for free to help you get started. 💙

🥂 Cheers to the end of the 2025 tax season! 🥩🍷

Happy October 15th! At Padgett, we have a little tradition. Every time we cross a major tax deadline off the calendar, we celebrate with a delicious dinner and a very nice bottle of w**e at Steakhouse Five!

Located at the Fountains at Gateway, Steakhouse Five is a locally owned gem brought to life by Chef Mitchell Murphree, whose passion for quality food and hospitality makes every visit feel special.

We're so grateful to have Steakhouse Five as both a client and a part of our Padgett traditions. Thank you to Mitchell and the entire team for always helping us celebrate another tax season in the books!

Here's to great food, great company, and another deadline behind us! 🥂💙

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Renee Fairchild 🌟

Today is the October 15th extended individual tax filing deadline, and we couldn't think of a better time to recognize someone who works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our tax department running smoothly!

Meet Renee Fairchild, our incredible Tax Manager! 💙

With over 11 years at Padgett, Renee is an essential part of our team. From navigating the chaos of tax season to making sure our clients feel supported year-round, she brings dedication, experience, and a whole lot of heart to everything she does.

Renee believes the little things make the biggest difference. Whether it's getting to know her clients or going the extra mile to help someone, she understands that great service is about more than just numbers.

Outside the office, Renee enjoys spending time with her family, especially during family game nights! She also loves baking, reading, and tackling DIY projects.

Tax season takes a village, and we're especially grateful to have Renee helping lead the charge. Her hard work, patience, and commitment to our team and clients never go unnoticed.

Renee, thank you for everything you do! We appreciate you more than you know! 💙

Turns out your accounting team has some serious artistic talent! 🎨🍷

The Padgett team traded spreadsheets for stencils and spent a wonderful evening getting creative at Board & Brush Murfreesboro, TN at The Fountains!

And of course, a special shoutout to Graze Craze (Murfreesboro, TN) for keeping us fueled with a delicious charcuterie spread!

We left with some beautiful handmade pieces, great memories, and an even greater appreciation for the talented small business owners in our community.

Supporting local businesses while spending quality time with our team? That’s our kind of team bonding! 🥂

If you haven’t visited Board & Brush Murfreesboro yet, add it to your list. We already can’t wait to go back!

The best time to get a line of credit? When you don’t need one.

A line of credit isn’t something you have to use. It’s something you want to have available *before* the unexpected happens.

Equipment breaks. Customers pay late. Expenses pop up. And when you suddenly need access to cash, the last thing you want to do is start the lending process from scratch.

Having a line of credit already established gives your business another option when timing matters.

Plan ahead. Give yourself options. And hopefully, you’ll never need to use it.

Need help getting your business financials in shape before talking with a lender? That’s where we come in.

🌟 WEEKLY CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: Stuible Insurance Group - Farmers Insurance

This week, we’re highlighting longtime Padgett client Scott Stuible.

Scott has been working with Andres and Emily for more than 8 years, building his agency around a simple philosophy: help people find the coverage they actually need without focusing on quotas or pushing another sale.

From home and auto to business, life, motorcycles, boats, ATVs, campers, and more, Scott and his team are happy to review your current insurance coverage and help make sure you’re getting the right protection at the right premium.

Giving back is also an important part of the Stuible Group. Scott and his team are active in their respective churches and proudly support A Soldier’s Child Foundation, a Middle Tennessee-based nonprofit serving the children of fallen military service members.

And we especially appreciate what Scott had to say about working with us:

💬 “Working with Padgett has been amazing. With Andres’ and Emily’s expertise, I’ve been able to focus on my business and let them handle my taxes and business financials. I would recommend them to everyone!”

Thank you, Scott, for trusting Padgett for more than 8 years. We’re proud to support local business owners like you so you can stay focused on what you do best!
