Why did I start Bright Consulting? 💛

Honestly, a big part of the answer is right here in this photo.

I started Bright Consulting in 2021 because I wanted to build something of my own while also having more time for the people who matter most to me, these two guys. 💛

I wanted a career that allowed me to use the experience I had gained over the years, help other small business owners, contribute to my family, and still have the flexibility to be present for the moments I didn’t want to miss.

What started as an idea has grown into something I’m incredibly grateful for.

Over the last five years, Bright Consulting has given me the opportunity to work with some amazing small business owners, build relationships throughout our community, and create a business that works around the life I want to live, not the other way around.

Being a business owner isn’t always easy. There are busy seasons, late nights, lots of learning as you go, and days when the balance definitely isn’t perfect.

But then I look at these two, and I remember exactly why I started. 🩵
More time with them.

More flexibility for our family.

And something I could build that I’m proud to call my own.

That’s my why. ☀️

September always feels like a second January to me… 🍂✨

Summer is wonderful, but there’s something about September that makes me ready to get back into routines, get organized, and refocus on the things I may have let slide a little over the summer.

As a business owner, I think we need that reset sometimes.

A chance to look at what’s working, what isn’t, what we’ve accomplished so far this year, and what we still want to accomplish before the year is over.

At Bright Consulting, September always feels like the perfect time to get things back in order, tie up loose ends, and make sure we’re heading into the last few months of the year feeling organized instead of overwhelmed.

Four months left in 2026. Plenty of time to finish strong. 💛

Here’s to fresh routines, clear goals, organized books, and a really good September. ☀️

Oh! Hello! 👋 What a summer…… ☀️

Between work, family, vacations, summer activities, and trying to soak up every bit of the season, it feels like summer absolutely flew by!

On the business side, I’m feeling incredibly thankful for all the new clients, partners, referrals, and connections that have come my way over the past few months. 💛

Bright Consulting continues to grow in ways I’m so grateful for. Every referral, recommendation, shared post, introduction, and small business that trusts me with their books means more than you know.

Running a small business while raising a family definitely makes for some busy days, but I wouldn’t trade it. I’m proud of what I’ve built, grateful for the people who continue to support it, and excited for what’s ahead.

Summer may be winding down, but we’re just getting started. 💙💛

Summer has looked a little different this year... ☀️

Between helping my bookkeeping clients, and making the most of summer with my son and husband, life has been wonderfully busy. Some days it's answering emails by the pool, other days it's solving bookkeeping questions before heading out for ice cream or an evening walk.

Owning a business has taught me that balance doesn't mean everything is perfectly divided, it means being present wherever you are. Some days that's with clients, some days it's with family, and some days it's simply taking a moment to appreciate how far this journey has come.

I'm incredibly grateful for every client who trusts me with their business and allows me the flexibility to build a life I love with my family. ❤️

Here's to enjoying the sunshine, making memories, and remembering that it's okay to slow down once in a while.

A few years ago, I took a leap of faith and started Bright Consulting while raising a baby and navigating all the uncertainties that come with building something from scratch.

There were plenty of moments when I questioned myself.

But growth rarely happens inside our comfort zones.

Today, I'm thankful for every client, referral partner, friend, and supporter who has been part of this journey. Every conversation, every referral, every opportunity has helped this business grow.

Keep going. Even when progress feels slow. The seeds you're planting today may become something incredible tomorrow. 💙

Running a business isn't always glamorous. Some days it's coffee, spreadsheets, payroll deadlines, and answering emails long after the workday is supposed to end.

But every day, I'm grateful.

Grateful for the small business owners who trust me with their finances. Grateful for the relationships I've built along the way. And grateful that I get to help entrepreneurs spend less time stressing over numbers and more time growing the businesses they love.
