Student loan debt is the second highest debt after mortgages. This plan would eliminate 10k of undergraduate debt or 20k if you were a recipient of a Pell Grant. Unfortunately it has been blocked. We helped quite a few clients fill out the application, consolidate the loans and put them in an income base repayment plan. We also help our clients get the loans out of default and onto a repayment plan. Hopefully the Biden administration wins it’s appeal and they proceed with the forgiveness which would help millions of Americans. People are hurting, inflation has increased cost of goods and services and rents are ridiculous. Add to that the rates going back to their historical normal and home prices being so high that we are seeing a sharp increase of clients calling that they cant pay their bills and out food on the table. The forgiveness would help alleviate some of the financial pressure.
