Wade Farm Financial Services Wade Farm Financial Services offers bookkeeping and tax services to Western Kentucky farmers. It also requires that you be a financial strategist.

Success in farming today requires more than just being a good farmer. It’s important that you have a well-thought-out and well-executed plan for using money to make money. It doesn’t take a mathematician or an economist to know that, over the long run, a business that manages its risks is likely to make more profit than a business that just accepts risks. Kenny and Jerilyn Wade founded Wade Farm Financial Services in 1985 in order to cater specifically to farmers’ unique financial needs. For the first six months they ran the business out of their Mayfield home until they were able to rent a space at the Graves County Farm Bureau building in 1986. It was just the two of them and a part-time employee. In 1989 they opened the Kevil office, managed by Teddy Powell. In 1992 the WFFS main office moved to the old Graves County Chamber of Commerce building–and it is still there to this day. In 2009, after 24 years in business, Kenny turned over ownership of Wade Farm Financial Services to his daughter, Penny Wade Smith, who remains owner and manager. In 2016 WFFS opened its Clinton Office, staffed by Jarrod Burgess, Kayla Deweese, and Shellie Byassee.

🌾 Happy National Farmers Day! 🌾

Today, we’re celebrating the farmers who work before the sun comes up, stay long after it goes down, and put in the work day after day, no matter what Mother Nature throws their way.

Farming is more than a job. It’s a way of life, a family tradition, and the foundation of our communities. We’re incredibly grateful for the farmers we have the privilege of working with and for the trust they place in us to be a small part of their operation.

Here’s to the hands that work the soil, the families behind the farm, and the generations carrying agriculture forward. 🚜🌱
