Planning for retirement doesn’t have to mean worrying about running out of money. 💡
Annuities are long-term insurance products that can help provide retirement income, tax-deferred growth, and other benefits depending on the contract.
Five common types include:
• Variable Annuities: Growth potential tied to market performance, with investment risk.
• Structured Annuities: Market-linked growth potential with defined downside protection, subject to contract terms.
• Fixed Indexed Annuities: Interest credited based in part on the performance of a market index.
• Fixed Annuities: A stated interest rate for a specified period.
• Immediate Annuities: Can provide income for a set period or for life.
The right strategy depends on your goals, risk tolerance, income needs, and overall financial plan.

Did you know? The beneficiary designations on your financial accounts typically take priority over the instructions in your will.
If your account designations aren't up to date, your assets could unintentionally pass to the wrong individuals—even if your will says otherwise.
Whenever you update or create your will, review the primary and contingent beneficiaries on your key accounts:
Retirement plans: 401(k)s, IRAs, and annuities
Life insurance policies: Group and individual coverage
Bank & brokerage accounts: Transfer on Death (TOD) or Payable on Death (POD) accounts
As a financial advisor, I help clients review these important details as part of their broader financial and estate planning strategy, working alongside their estate-planning attorney when appropriate.

Community involvement has always been an important part of who I am, both personally and professionally.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to give back through mentorship, professional organizations, and local service efforts. Whether it’s supporting future professionals through the Kentucky Society of CPAs and CFP Board mentorship or contributing to organizations like Nativity Academy at St. Boniface, these experiences have been meaningful reminders of the impact we can have when we invest in others.
I value the relationships built through these opportunities and the chance to continue learning from the people and communities around me.

A financial advisor is someone who helps individuals, families, and business owners navigate important financial decisions.
While investments may be one part of the conversation, financial planning often looks at the bigger picture—including goals, retirement planning, tax considerations, risk management, and other financial priorities.
My role is to help clients organize their goals, understand their options, and create a plan that reflects what matters most to them.

My approach is built around ongoing conversations, regular progress reviews, and staying connected as your goals and circumstances evolve. Together, we can revisit your goals, discuss progress, and review your overall financial picture through regular meetings that fit your needs—whether that’s in person, virtually, or by phone.
Every person’s financial journey looks different, and I believe the planning process should be flexible enough to grow with you.

One of the areas I focus on in my practice is Women's Financial Strategies.
One topic that comes up often is the importance of understanding your financial picture, regardless of who manages the day-to-day finances.
Every woman should know:
💡 Where assets are held
💡How bills are paid
💡What insurance coverage is in place
💡The family's long-term financial goals
💡Where important documents are stored
Being informed isn't about taking over. It's about being prepared. Life can change unexpectedly, and having a basic understanding of your financial affairs can provide confidence and peace of mind.

Retirement readiness is not defined by a single number or timeline.
For some individuals, it may center around income needs. For others, it may involve lifestyle goals, business transitions, healthcare considerations, or family priorities.
Because of this, retirement planning is often a highly personalized process that evolves over time and reflects each person’s unique situation. The goal is to build a plan that aligns with what retirement looks like for you, not a one-size-fits-all approach.

I'm incredibly grateful for the trust my clients place in me and honored by feedback like this.
Working with business owners is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. As a CFP® and CPA, I help clients connect the dots between tax strategies, retirement planning, payroll decisions, business profitability, benefits, and estate planning.
I often describe my role as a financial quarterback, helping make sure all the moving pieces work together and supporting clients as both their business and personal financial lives evolve.
If you're a business owner looking for responsive guidance and a trusted partner who understands both the business and personal side of your finances, I'd love to connect.

Strong financial habits aren't built overnight. They're developed through consistent actions over time.
Whether you're an individual, a family, or a business owner, small habits can help you stay focused on your long-term goals:
💵 Build strong credit
💵 Save for retirement
💵 Keep an emergency fund
💵 Stay properly insured
💵 Have essential estate documents in place (will, power of attorney, healthcare directives)
Financial success is often less about making perfect decisions and more about consistently doing the right things over time.
