On August 16th, I started a new series on My Enrolled Agent Career.

I walked listeners through building the foundation of a successful Enrolled Agent Firm.

The next week, in Episode 34, I talked about creating and implementing systems in your firm.

Last week, in Episode 35, I walked you through my own personal tech stack. Yes, the one I use in my own Enrolled Agent Firm.

This week, at 8 p.m. EST, I'm walking you through a sample tax preparation workflow.

That's right, from the roota to the tooda. Prospect intake all the way through offboarding the client.

There are so many people who don't know where to start or what to do next. 447 people have already checked out the series.

I didn't want you to miss out.

Unlike the Tax Relief with Timalyn Bowens podcast, My Enrolled Agent Career is video, and you can only stream that video in 2 places: Spotify and the Enrolled Agent Hub (the new YouTube channel).

If you don't prefer video and you don't have Spotify, you can now also check it out on the America's Favorite EA website.

Let me know your preferred listening platform in the comments, and I'd be happy to drop the link for you if you're not already subscribed 😌.

P.S. I trust that after listening to one episode, you'll be subscribed before Episode 37 drops next week 😉.

Hellllllo September and Internet Family!

If you're new around here, you may not know where I am going with this.

But if you've been here a while then you know...

Today is my EA Anniversary!

Life was absolutely lifin at the time but with God, favor, grit, and determination I went in and passed the final part of the special enrollment exam.

I celebrated and then filled out my application for enrollment.

It being the start of my birthday month was just a bonus 😊.

I was super excited and then came the..."now what?"

If you're there then I want to invite you to subscribe to the Enrolled Agent Hub on YouTube where at the least, you'll get weekly tips to help guide you on your journey of starting and building an Enrolled Agent Firm.

More of a hands on/in person person?

Bet!

Next month, right here in Louisville, KY I am hosting the 2nd Enrolled Agent Firm Bootcamp. This in person event will help you fill in the blanks for what's next if you're stuck trying to figure out your purpose, service offerings, representation, or marketing.

PLUS you'll get 4 hours of CE.

Don't buy tax representation software until you've built out your workflow and have a steady stream of clients.

Life is all about pivots.

For Angie, a layoff led her to pivot into Tax Representation.

Where have life's pivots taken you?

Are you a smaller firm owner who yet wants to deliver top tier service to your tax clients - whether it's tax preparation, tax planning, or tax representation.

But you feel like you don't have the right connections, team, or mentors?

You'd like to learn more about tax planning but not sure how to go about it.

Well, I'd like to introduce you to the Executive Touch, run by Angie Toney CPA.

This community is all about the collaboration of finance professionals - Enrolled Agents, CPAs, Financial Advisors, and Tax Attorneys.

The headline event is the annual retreat in Jamaica, which I've had the pleasure of speaking at 2 different years. An event that I'd highly recommend.

Interested in learning more, check out my conversation with Angie T live, on Wednesday August 19th at 11 am EST.

Requirements for Tax Professionals Accepting Electronic Signatures on IRS Tax Forms 08/18/2026

This morning I was having a conversation with 2 young ladies 😌 about things needed while running an Enrolled Agent Firm.

If you're not an Enrolled Agent but you do taxes listen up, this is relevant for you too.

We were discussing pricing and the overhead that needs to also be factored in. I asked what was being used for KBA signatures.

One said idk what that is and the other smiled like uhhhh.

KBA is knowledge based authorization. If you are receiving a electronic signature on an IRS Form, say the 8879 there are certain things that should be recorded with said signature as well as their identity being verified if it's a remote transaction.

If you didn't know that, it's okay...don't raise your hand. Now you do 😌.

I wrote an article a while ago about what the IRS criteria is for accepting an electronic signature. You can check it out here :

Requirements for Tax Professionals Accepting Electronic Signatures on IRS Tax Forms We live in a digital world, whether people want to accept it or not. I do understand some people's hesitancy to accept it. For one, there has certainly been an increase in scams in the financial sector. The IRS annually gives warnings about protecting your data as a taxpayer. So it's no wonder that....

Taxpayers are scared of speaking with the IRS.

They're afraid that they won't know what to say.

What if the IRS levies them or even worse, the go to jail?

Well, before things escalate that much the IRS usually files a Federal tax lien to protect their financial interest.

This Thursday at 12 pm EST I'll be teaching a 2 hour class on IRS Tax liens.

When you leave you'll understand what they are, how the affect the taxpayer, and the different methods available to remove them.

Why was My Form 2848 Rejected? 08/10/2026

There's more than one way to skin a cat.

Which is probably why people learn in different ways.

Some people learn from the mistakes of others, while others have to go through and bump their own head to learn life's lessons.

Which one are you when it comes to tax representation?

Last week I shared an article that walked you through how to fill out a 2848 if you're an Enrolled Agent.

But I know there will be some folks who will fill the form out without reading the instructions, my article, or taking a class. It's okay lol.

If you're in that place now, I'd like to share another article I wrote, "Why was my 2848 rejected?" You can check it out here: https://www.americasfavoriteea.com/post/why-was-my-form-2848-rejected

Why was My Form 2848 Rejected? One thing that I have learned in life and in my journey as an Enrolled Agent is that you don't know what you don't know. Learning the ropes of representing taxpayers can take time. Even when it comes to filling out Form 2848, Power of Attorney and Declaration, which is the very first step in represe...
