Retirement is more than a financial transition, it’s a lifestyle one.
Your time changes, priorities change, how you move through the day changes. Because of this, spending patterns shift, often more than people expect.
If lifestyle clarity and intentionality aren’t clear—such as what your expenses and desired retirement look like—it can be challenging to build a realistic financial plan that actually fits your life.
A lot of times, this is where the conversation actually starts.
It’s not just, “Can I retire?” but, “Will this actually work for me?”
Tune into our latest webinar, with financial advisors Stacey Panenhanouvong, CFP® and Alex Collins, MBA, CEPA, as they shine light on ways to align your financial decisions with your long-term lifestyle goals ➡️ https://hcrwealth.com/are-you-ready-to-retire-webinar/

Retirement planning is the number one source of financial stress for the majority of Americans.
Your retirement could span 20+ years, so mistakes today may have detrimental costs tomorrow.
Here are 8 ways to jeopardize your future; know them, avoid them, recover when needed.
1. Delaying your savings and not tapping into the power of compound interest early and often.
2. Excessively spending and living beyond your means.
3. Allowing debt and subsequent growing interest to become overwhelming.
4. Underestimating healthcare costs in retirement and assuming Medicare will pick up the tab.
5. Retiring too early without sufficient, sustainable assets to provide for expenses long-term.
6. Cashing out retirement accounts too early and racking up taxes and penalties.
7. Failing to diversify the investment assets in your portfolio, putting it at additional risk.
8. Neglecting to review and update your retirement plan as life circumstances change.

As the world tunes in to the FIFA World Cup, it's a reminder that success on the biggest stage is built long before kickoff.
Elite athletes spend years preparing for moments that may last only 90 minutes. The same mindset applies to financial success.
A professional sports career can bring extraordinary opportunities, but it can also come with unique financial complexities:
⚽️ Variable career lengths
⚽️ Endorsement and sponsorship income
⚽️ Multi-state and international tax considerations
⚽️ Investing for life after competition
⚽️ Philanthropic and legacy planning
The strongest financial game plans don't end with an athlete's playing career; they’re designed to support every chapter that follows.
At HCR, we help high-performing athletes develop personalized financial strategies that go beyond investments, including financial education, tax planning, supplemental income strategies, philanthropic planning, and guidance through career transitions: https://hcrwealth.com/our-clients/athlete/
The goal is simple: help turn today's success into lasting financial independence.
Because championships may be won on the field, but lasting wealth is built with a plan.

It’s officially Summer! 🌞 A season of travel, celebrations, and new experiences.
It can also become a season of financial drift if spending happens without intention.
The idea isn't to avoid spending money on the things you enjoy, but to spend in a way that supports both today's lifestyle *and* tomorrow's goals.
➡️ Before Summer gets into full swing, consider creating an overall budget for discretionary spending, travel costs, entertainment, and family/kids activities.
When spending aligns with your priorities, it may feel more rewarding and less stressful. (It may also help save you from the financial hangover when Fall hits.)
Financial confidence isn't built by always saying no. It's built by knowing exactly what you're saying yes to.
