Your bookkeeping shouldn’t leave you wondering whether money is quietly slipping through the cracks.

Here are three signs it may already be costing you:

1️⃣ You’re never completely sure whether every expense has been recorded—which could mean missed deductions.

2️⃣ Your QuickBooks or spreadsheet balance doesn’t match your bank statements—which could leave you making decisions using inaccurate numbers.

3️⃣ You rarely review your financial reports—which means you may be missing opportunities to protect your cash and improve profitability.

If even one sounds familiar, my Bookkeeping Deep Dive can help.

I’ll take a close look at your books and give you a clear plan showing:

✔️ What’s working
✔️ What’s missing
✔️ What needs to be corrected
✔️ What you should do next

No more financial detective work. 🕵️‍♀️

There will always be another email to answer, task to finish or number to check.

That doesn’t mean you have to carry all of it into every evening, weekend or quiet moment.

Creating reliable systems—and asking for support—isn’t a sign that you can’t handle your business. It’s how you build a business that doesn’t require every ounce of you to keep running.

You deserve success that still leaves room for your actual life.

And yes, having someone else handle the bookkeeping is a very good place to start. 😉

What’s one business responsibility you would happily take off your plate?

That feeling when you know you should be doing your bookkeeping...

But you keep putting it off? 😬

Yeah. That's stressful.

It sits in the back of your mind while you're doing everything else.

"I really need to catch up on my books."

"I'll do it this weekend."

"I hope everything is categorized correctly."

"What am I going to find when I finally look at it?"

And the longer you wait, the more stressful it becomes.

Outsourcing your bookkeeping means one less responsibility sitting on your shoulders.

Your books are being taken care of.

Your numbers are being organized.

And you can focus your energy on running your business.

Because peace of mind is valuable too. 💙

The beginning of Q4 can make it feel like you should be doing everything at once:

Finish the year strong.
Reach the revenue goal.
Prepare for taxes.
Plan for next year.
And somehow keep running the actual business.

But you don’t need to make every decision today.

Start by getting a clear picture of where your business stands. What came in? What went out? What still needs attention? What can wait?

My job isn’t to judge what hasn’t been done. It’s to help you understand where you are now and determine the best next step.

That’s how we move through Q4—with clarity, not panic.

What would help you feel more prepared heading into the final months of the year?

Choosing the name and designing the logo may be more exciting—but setting up your bookkeeping correctly is one of the most important things you can do for your new business.

That’s why I created my free Business Setup Bookkeeping Checklist.

It can help you think through the financial pieces that are easy to overlook when you’re focused on getting your business off the ground.

Because correcting financial systems later is possible—but establishing good habits from the beginning can save you time, stress and plenty of unnecessary cleanup.

Send me a DM for your free checklist!

The year isn’t over yet, and neither are your goals!

The fourth quarter can be one of the most powerful times to grow your business, but it’s hard to move forward when you’re still trying to make sense of the numbers behind you.

Hiring a bookkeeper isn’t just about keeping your records organized. It’s about gaining the clarity you need to make confident decisions, plan your next move and finish the year with momentum.

Your goals are still within reach. You may just need the right support to help you get there. 💚

What’s one goal you’re still determined to reach before the end of the year?

10/01/2026

Your Profit + Loss report isn’t just something your accountant needs in April. It’s one of the most useful tools you have for making smarter decisions all year long.

An up-to-date P&L can help you:

1️⃣ Provide the documentation needed when applying for financing.

2️⃣ Recognize seasonal patterns and prepare for slower months.

3️⃣ Plan for large or irregular expenses before they surprise you.

4️⃣ Identify your most profitable revenue streams—and the expenses cutting into them.

5️⃣ Show the financial health of your company if you decide to sell.

Your P&L doesn’t simply tell you what happened. It gives you the information you need to decide what happens next.

But it can only do that when your bookkeeping is accurate and up to date. 😉

How often do you review your Profit + Loss report: monthly, quarterly or only at tax time?

The beginning of the fourth quarter always feels like a turning point to me.

There’s still time to reach the goals you set for the year. But we’re also close enough to year-end that the decisions you make now really matter.

This is when I encourage business owners to pause and ask:
Are my books up to date?
Do I know how the business has performed this year?
Is there anything I need to address before tax season?
What do I want the final three months of the year to look like?

Personally, I love the opportunity for a fresh start without waiting for January. New quarter, new season and a chance to finish the year feeling a little more prepared. 😊

And if your bookkeeping isn’t exactly where you hoped it would be by now, you still have time. One step at a time!

What is one thing you want to accomplish before the end of the year?

Your bookkeeping might be taking up more mental space than you realize.

Even when you're not actively doing it, you're probably thinking about it.

"I need to reconcile."
"Did I categorize that correctly?"
"I should really look at my numbers."
"What am I going to owe in taxes?"

That's a lot of mental clutter for a business owner to carry.

Outsourcing your bookkeeping means you don't have to wonder whether your books are getting done.

You can have someone keeping them organized, staying on top of the details, and giving you the information you need when you need it.

Because sometimes the biggest benefit of handing something off isn't the time you get back.

It's the space you get back in your head. ❤️

And THAT is worth a lot.

Seeing the same balance in your bank account and QuickBooks might feel like confirmation that everything is correct, but matching totals don’t always tell the whole story.

That’s why reconciliation matters.

Reconciling means comparing your financial records with your bank and credit card statements, one transaction at a time.

This process can uncover:
✔️ Duplicate transactions
✔️ Missing expenses
✔️ Incorrect amounts
✔️ Payments that haven’t cleared
✔️ Bank fees or interest you forgot to record
✔️ Transactions assigned to the wrong account

A matching balance is a good start. A completed reconciliation gives you confidence that the activity behind that balance is accurate too.

How often are your business accounts reconciled—weekly, monthly or only when tax season gets close?
