Just a shout out....This is an unused tax savings...I want you to think about charity giving...We write a check...No don't ......
Use your rmd or do a Charitable Gift Annuities...Let's talk about the amount of stock we own in our individual investment accounts... That have gain real value.. How to get it out of there without paying the gains... Charity Gift Annuities or Charitable remainder Trust...This is not that hard...,. I do this

Talk to your planner please if they don't know call me and I will help....
If done right you can move the appreciated stock to the Gift or trust and still take a deduction without paying on the gain...

Nice.

Just a thought... I know I talk about rmd's going towards your charity giving... So you aren't 73 what can I do... Well glad you asked..I know for me I have some stocks in my individual account that wow...I don't want to pay on the gain to cash them in to give to my favorite charity.... Why not use a charitable gift fund. I am using Edward Jones Charitable Gift Fund... Lots to doing this but a great way to give... And tax plan.... Ask me at tax time or call you advisor and see if they do this.

The SECURE 2.0 Act continues to reshape retirement savings, offering new opportunities for many to strengthen their financial future. Key updates include a higher required minimum distribution (RMD) age and expanded eligibility for 401(k) plans, making it easier for part-time workers to participate.

A major highlight for 2025 is the enhanced catch-up contribution limits for individuals ages 60 to 63. If you’re in this age group, you can now contribute up to $11,250 to your 401(k), 403(b), or governmental 457 plan, far above the standard catch-up amount.

These increased retirement contributions help you maximize your savings during your peak earning years and can lower your taxable income and reduce your overall tax liability.

Oct.1st is the last day in 2026 for businesses to establish a new 401(k) safe harbor matching plan.
With a safe harbor plan, you can:
• eliminate the hassle of nondiscrimination testing
• maximize their employees’ salary deferrals and participation
• meet state-mandated retirement plan requirements, and
• potentially take advantage of tax credits.
Don't forget there may be credits for 1, 2 3 year that really make it worth something to do.

Many of youare facing required minimum distributions (RMDs) have questions. One smart strategy is to incorporate Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs).
Increasingly, many people seeking to do more with—and get more from—their RMDs are looking to charitable gift annuities (CGAs). In addition to being QCD-eligible, these contracts between donors and qualified public charities blend tax efficiency, retirement income and charitable intent.
