Don’t wait until you need a doctor to start thinking about insurance!

🚨 HEALTH INSURANCE OPEN ENROLLMENT IS NOT SOMETHING TO PLAY WITH!

Here’s what you need to know.

For 2026 coverage, the federal Marketplace enrollment period ran from November 1, 2025, through January 15, 2026.

For 2027 coverage, the federal Marketplace enrollment period is scheduled to run:

📅 November 1 – December 15, 2026.

That’s right! The federal enrollment deadline is moving up.

If you miss the deadline, you generally need a qualifying life event to enroll outside the regular window.

Examples may include:
✔️ Getting married.
✔️ Having a baby.
✔️ Losing qualifying health coverage.
✔️ Certain household or relocation changes.

And here’s the catch:

Your business may have a GREAT year, but if your income changes and you don’t update your Marketplace application, your tax credit could be off.

Example:

You estimated your annual income at $35,000.

Business picks up, and now you’re making $55,000.

That’s a $20,000 difference in projected income!

That change could affect the amount of financial assistance you qualify for.

Keep your books updated. Track your income and expenses. Communicate changes to the Marketplace.

💰 The extra financial help that lowered Marketplace insurance premiums expired at the end of 2025.

That means some people may now:
