There’s a season of life when responsibilities seem to come from every direction. Aging parents may need more support just as children are beginning careers, making big decisions, and building lives of their own.

Living in the sandwich generation has reminded me that the hardest parts aren’t always financial. Sometimes they’re about listening, letting go, preserving independence, offering guidance without controlling the outcome, and trying to be present for everyone who matters.
