Recientemente, el IRS publicó un borrador (draft) del Formulario 1040 para el año tributario 2026.🔥

En el cual se ha añadido por primera vez una casilla en la sección de "Otra Información".

🔥Los puntos clave que debes saber sobre este cambio son:

¿Qué pregunta exactamente el borrador?

El formulario incluye una pregunta de Sí/No que requiere indicar si el contribuyente (y su cónyuge) es ciudadano estadounidense, nacional de EE. UU. o un extranjero legalmente autorizado para trabajar en los Estados Unidos.😳

¿Cuál es el objetivo según el IRS?

La agencia ha señalado que esta información busca verificar los requisitos de elegibilidad de ciertos créditos tributarios y proteger la entrega de dichos beneficios.🧐

Aún no es definitivo: Se trata de una propuesta en fase de borrador.

Si se aprueba sin modificaciones, entraría en vigor para la declaración de impuestos correspondiente a 2026 (que se presenta a principios de 2027).
