Can I be honest for a minute?

I enjoyedddd my summer! 🤭

I spent time with family and friends and took some much-needed time to relax, and let myself breathe a little...

Bad bookkeepers don't want you to know this one trick! 🤫

You can click a little button in your bookkeeping software and do your own independent verification of whether your bookkeeper is ~actually~ doing what you hired them to do.

It's called a reconciliation report!

Running this for each bank account + credit card statement shows the last date that account was reconciled.

If it's been more than a few months and your bookkeeper was supposedddd to be handling those... not good. 😬

Listen, if I ever quit doing my own taxes, here's exactly what I'd be looking for in a new tax advisor as someone with incrediblyyyy high standards ↓

→ someone with experience in my industry (preferably with referrals from my peers)

→ a clear communication policy (I would HATE to feel left in the dark about the status of my return)

→ credentials for the level of support I want

→ availability outside of tax season + support on IRS/state notices

→ services that go deeper than just tax preparation + filing (tell me how to get ~strategic~ with my tax bill)

But for now, the great news is I do alllll that for business owner like you! 🫵
