Our Story

Robert A. Caldwell is a CPA and a Financial Advisor with a relaxed, friendly style. For 40 years, he has helped individuals and families with life's money issues. Whether its investments, tax issues, estate and trust matters, or retirement planning, he brings to the table a wealth of knowledge and experience. He approaches investing and financial planning from a tax perspective, and often says, "What matters is not what you get, but what you get to keep."

Robert is vitally interested in the psychological, emotional, and spiritual aspects of money and how it affects families and individuals. This often involves working with clients on money conflicts that arise from issues of debt, overspending, retirement, divorce, inheritance, etc. He has a special interest in working with families to prevent, resolve, and mediate inheritance disputes and in working with inheritors on the challenges they face.

Robert is a Certified Public Accountant and an Enrolled Agent (authorized by the U.S. Treasury Department to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service). A former bank trust officer, Robert is a graduate of Lambuth University and the National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University. He also is owner of Robert A. Caldwell, CPA, a registered Tennessee accountancy firm.

Robert and his wife Sherry have been married for 45 years. Their daughter, Catherine is a Registered Nurse and son-in-law Jacob, is a Conductor/Engineer for CN Railroad. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation for 16 years, serving as Board Chair from 2012-2013. Robert enjoys writing, reading, cooking, growing good things to eat, and traveling to warm, sunny places with beaches.
