Our annual Summer Party is always one of the highlights of the year! There's nothing like a day at the beach to bring our team together.

It was wonderful to reconnect, reflect on all the Firm has accomplished over the past year, and celebrate how much we've grown. We especially loved welcoming so many new faces and introducing our newest team members to the people and traditions that make Haskell & White such a great place to work.

Each year, Haskell & White hosts our SEC Roundtable, bringing together finance and governance leaders from across Southern California for candid conversations about what is changing and what it means for their organizations.

This year’s program covered the SEC’s evolving regulatory direction and new income tax disclosure requirements that are reshaping how investors view a company’s tax profile.

Our full audit partner team was in the room and available throughout the morning. If you had a question, there was an answer.

Haskell & White was proud to attend the 26th Annual YWCA In the Company of Women Luncheon, a celebration of remarkable women and the organizations championing their success.

We were honored to host TWIN honorees Jessica Grounds, CEO of the Corporate Directors Forum, and Hillary Whiteside, Executive Director of The Institute for Effective Education, both recognized for their exceptional leadership and achievements. Congratulations to all of this year's TWIN honorees!

Haskell & White hosted our 9th Annual Nonprofit Conference, bringing together nonprofit leaders for a great morning of learning on the issues their organizations are facing today.

This year’s conference focused on practical strategies to help organizations navigate evolving challenges with confidence. From real-world nonprofit fraud case studies and right-sized cybersecurity approaches to risk and insurance issues and common accounting challenges, each session was designed to deliver actionable insights leaders can apply within their organizations.

Thank you to our team, Rick, Pat, Diane, David, Spencer, and guest speaker Mike Fitch of HUB International, for sharing your insights and expertise. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in person and virtually! We’re honored to support the nonprofit organizations making a meaningful impact in our communities every day!

Opening night at Laguna Playhouse did not disappoint.

This fast-paced, clever twist on a classic features five incredibly talented actors taking on more than 20 roles in a whirlwind of mystery, humor, and film noir flair. The live Foley artist is an incredible addition, bringing sound effects to life in real time and adding another layer of creativity to the performance. The timing, physical comedy, and sheer versatility on stage make this one especially fun to watch.

We’re proud to support Laguna Playhouse and the creativity they continue to bring to our community.

We celebrated Administrative Professionals Day with the incredible team who keep everything running behind the scenes. It’s exciting to see this group grow over the years, supporting the Firm in all areas of operations.

If you are expecting a tax refund this year, make sure your return includes direct deposit information.

The IRS stopped issuing most paper refund checks after September 30, 2025. Taxpayers whose returns were filed without bank account information may receive Notice CP53E, requesting they add direct deposit details through their IRS online account.

Those who do not respond within 30 days; the IRS will issue a paper check six weeks after the date the notice was issued.

If you expect a refund, keep an eye out for IRS correspondence and respond promptly if you receive a CP53E notice.
