My memories of you will always remain near and dear to my heart. Our beloved patriarch, Jesús Ramírez, passed away this morning and entered into the arms of our Lord. I prayed over his fruitful life, full of gratitude that God blessed us with his presence for as long as He did. He was ready to go home for quite some time, and though we selfishly wanted him to stay, we rest in the promises of our Maker, knowing he is now reunited with his beloved wife and the children who went before him.

His life was hard, but it was also beautiful. After losing his father at the young age of 14, he became the protector and provider for his younger siblings. He was forced to grow up quickly, and he did so with so much courage and resilience. He learned to farm, to fish, and to work with his hands, becoming a pillar of strength for his family and his community. Later, as a husband and father of 12, he continued to lead with discipline, devotion, and a deep love for those he cared for.

He was not a perfect man, but he was a present. He was one who showed up, who provided, who corrected, who prayed, who led, who stayed, and who never abandoned the people he loved. His home was one of faith, laughter, food, family, and community. His legacy lives in the generations that follow: in our values, our work ethic, our love for one another, and our unshakeable faith in God.

We honor his 98 years of life. He would've been 99 in December. Nearly a century of memories, stories, lessons, and love. We will miss his presence, but we rejoice that his suffering has ended. His mind and body are now restored, his spirit is free, and he has received the eternal rest he longed for.
May we carry his legacy with pride. May we love boldly, work with integrity, walk in faith, and cherish family just as he did. I will forever be grateful that God allowed me to share my life with such a strong, honorable man.
Rest in glory, Abuelito. Rest in peace. Rest in the promises of God.
We will see you again.
