This is what you need to know:
The U.S. government has created a new program called Trump Accounts, designed to help children build wealth from birth.

Here are the key points:
• $1,000 automatic deposit for children born between 2025–2028.
• Anyone — parents, grandparents, friends, or employers — can contribute up to $5,000 per year.
• A massive $6.25 billion donation from Michael & Susan Dell means about 25 million kids will receive an extra $250, especially in lower-income communities.
• The money is required to be invested in low-cost U.S. stock-market index funds so it can compound over many years.
• No money can be withdrawn until the child turns 18. After that, it can be used for:
• Education
• A first home
• Starting a business
• Or rolled into retirement savings

This program officially launches July 4, 2026, and it represents one of the biggest wealth-building initiatives for children in decades.

If you have kids or grandkids born in the eligible years, this is definitely something to take advantage of.

In 2021 & 2022 tax season

If you were self employed your tax professional probably filled you out a form 7202 which doubled, tripled, & sometimes quadrupled your refund. When you hear of people getting back 15-50k it was because of this form that was rolled out that allowed self employed people to claim $200 family leave credit per day and $2,000 in the aggregate for everyday they couldn’t work.

That form is gone! Removed from software.

It’s merely impossible for SELF EMPLOYED people with NO dependents to get a tax refund this year. So coming to us saying you made 100k with no dependents & expecting a refund is totally not going to happen.

If you are self employed with 1 child you’re looking at approximately $3300

If you are self employed with 2 children you’re looking at approximately $5700

If you are self employed with 3 children you’re looking at approximately $6500

These limits are set by the IRS..so if your tax preparer got you more you may want to get a good understanding of what they put on your return because you are responsible for it.

This is straight Schedule C income of course.
