We are a borrower-owned Montana agricultural lending corporation that has been Montana’s most affordable and dependable source of agricultural credit for almost 90 years. Since 1933, we have provided our customers with on-the-ranch service from our industry-raised credit officers who exercise the highest level of confidentiality. The company is managed by a nine-member board of directors who are successful agricultural producers from across Montana. We complement our short-term lending by partnering with secondary market providers to bring you the best options for fixed-rate long-term real estate loans. We also provide short-term investment opportunities for all present and past customers and their immediate families.

Josh Doely was in Butte yesterday participating in the Montana Stockgrowers Association Producer Profitability Initiative roadshow!

It was good to hear updates on what’s been accomplished from the start of the PPI and have conversations on the issues that remain.

Now today he’s knocking on doors, explaining the benefits of doing business with us!

It’s that time of year again with the beginning of fall roundups.

Aaron got to help bring cattle out of the Missouri river breaks and an early morning plane ride to spot the cattle. Nice to see a little green tinge to the countryside this time of year, sure helps the cattle look good.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun Labor Day weekend and that the state gets lots of moisture the weatherman is calling for!

Grain yields are shaping up way better than they looked back in late spring for most of Montana and prices are showing more promise every day too! Vice President Aaron Oxarart rode along for an afternoon in a combine this week on the High Line.

Haying season is in full swing! These hay barley pictures in the Turner area look like a phenomenal crop. We have seen hay prices anywhere from 160-235 a ton around the state. Share photos of your hay below!

Can you guess where we were?

Ag Lenders Range School!

They create great opportunities for us to get out, network, and learn more about different pasture and herd management across Montana.

Today we take a moment to reflect and pay tribute to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Let us extend our heartfelt gratitude to the families who bear the burden of their absence. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As Montanans, we understand the importance of hard work, perseverance, and the values that make our country strong. We stand together with our communities, acknowledging the sacrifices made by our military personnel and their families.

Today, as we gather with loved ones, let’s take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this day. May we honor the memory of our fallen heroes and strive to uphold the principles they fought and died for.

From all of us at Montana Livestock, we wish you a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

A few weeks ago, Blake Hauptman headed to Judith Gap to lend a hand at a branding, helping wrestle calves on a cold and windy day. Despite the weather, he enjoyed getting out of the office and helping out!
