What if the thing slowing you down isn't a lack of effort but a skill nobody ever helped you strengthen?

Here's a sneak peek at next week's episode of The CEO Shift, where LearningRx Brain Training CEO Kim Hanson joins our CEO Shawndel to talk about brain training, leadership, and why the way most of us handle our weak spots may be holding us back.

The full episode drops Tuesday, October 13th! Visit our website to find all of the ways to listen.

Good news, CEOs!

Q4 just started, which means there's still three months to change how this year ends.

That's a very different position than finding out in December that something needs to change.

Three months is enough time to adjust pricing, chase down what's outstanding, or decide not to spend something!

Somewhere under the spreadsheets, the payroll, and the hard days is the version of you who started this business with a dream, and it is worth asking when you last checked in with them.

On the latest episode of The CEO Shift, Sarah Stokes, CEO of The Juicy Good Life shares the nine-minute exercise she has used for 15 years to help CEOs reconnect with where they are really headed, along with the client story that shows why it matters so much.

1️⃣ Understand your numbers.
2️⃣ Make better decisions.
3️⃣ Build a better business.

It happens in that order, and nobody gets to skip the first step. 😉

If the same frustration keeps showing up in your business no matter how many new hires, new systems, or new strategies you throw at it, it might not be a business problem at all.

On this week’s episode of The CEO Shift, Sarah Stokes, author of Worth the Squirm, explains where those repeating patterns really come from and why noticing them is one of the most powerful moves a CEO can make.

Two reports, two different questions. 📊

Your profit and loss tells you how you did over a stretch of time, this month, this quarter, this year. What came in, what went out, and what was left.

Your balance sheet tells you where you stand on one specific day. What you have, what you owe, and what's actually yours once those are weighed against each other.

Most owners open the P&L and skip the balance sheet, but here's the thing you need to know- you can have a great month on one while your debt quietly climbs on the other.

Reading both is how you see the whole picture!

Most CEOs are carrying a kind of suffering they cannot quite name. It shows up as the self-judgment that keeps you up at night, the hard conversation you keep putting off, and the feeling that wanting to enjoy your business is somehow asking too much.

This week on The CEO Shift, Shawndel sits down with Sarah Stokes, founder of The Juicy Good Life and author of Worth the Squirm, to get to the root of it. Sarah shares why over-giving CEOs often want more for their teams than their teams want for themselves, and she walks us through the Two Doors exercise that helped one client trade heart palpitations for the life she had only imagined.

The new episode is live NOW at spadergroup.com/ceo-shift.

But understanding them is what changes how you run your business!

That's why every question is a good question here at Spader Group, and why we explain things until they make sense... not just until the meeting ends. 📚

If the same problems keep showing up in your business no matter how many new hires, new systems, or new strategies you try, the answer may not be where you've been looking.

Sarah Stokes, founder of The Juicy Good Life, wrote an entire book about why so much of what CEOs struggle with starts on the inside, and how it shows up in our teams, our partnerships, our marketing, and even our financials.

In this clip from The CEO Shift, she shares a perspective that could change how you look at your hardest seasons in business.

The full episode drops on September 29th!
