Bigger goals must be broken down into smaller chunks so that our goals for today are building towards our goals for the future. Successful people set goals, plan toward those goals, and reevaluate those goals over time.

We should set goals in different areas of our lives: spiritually, physically, mentally, financially, etc. Some goals set themselves based on deadlines set by others, such as the April 15th deadline to file income taxes. For me, that means each day I must focus on several tax returns in order to achieve the goal of having all 1040s and business tax returns filed by Monday, which in turn means I need to start work earlier and end work later for the next 6 days.
