Working moms know this exact feeling šŸ˜‚

Work needs something.
A kid needs something.
Someone’s sick.
There’s laundry everywhere.
You should probably eat.
You definitely need a shower.
And somewhere in the chaos you remember you’re also supposed to practice ā€œself-care.ā€ šŸ˜…

So you start doing one thing, remember three other things, run to do one of those, then stop halfway because something ELSE suddenly became more important.

Until eventually your brain is just:

ā€œWHAT DO I DO?!ā€ šŸ˜‚

I’ve learned that some days there really isn’t a perfect way to balance it all. You just figure out what needs you most in that moment, handle what you can, and give yourself some grace with the rest.

Please tell me I’m not the only mom whose brain has 37 tabs open at all times. šŸ˜‚šŸ¤

Some days the laundry, dishes, toys and constant mess feel never ending. And then I read something like this and it completely changes my perspective. 🄹

The toys on the floor mean my kids are healthy enough to play.

The dishes in the sink mean we had food on the table.

The overflowing laundry means my family has clothes to wear.

It doesn’t mean I suddenly enjoy folding laundry šŸ˜‚ and it’s okay to still feel overwhelmed by it all. But sometimes the things that feel like chores are also little reminders of just how much we have to be grateful for.

One day the house will probably be a lot quieter and a lot cleaner... and I have a feeling I’ll miss this mess. šŸ¤

ball where the guy keeps getting his by the bal;l
There’s nothing quite like finishing a full day of work just to clock into your second shift at home šŸ˜‚

ā€œMom, I’m hungry.ā€
ā€œMom, where’s myā€¦ā€
ā€œMom, can youā€¦ā€
ā€œMommmmm.ā€

And somehow they all need something at the EXACT same time. 😭

I love being a mom more than anything, but some days walking through that door feels a little like stepping onto the dodgeball court. Just getting hit from every direction until bedtime. šŸ˜‚

Working moms… please tell me I’m not the only one. šŸ™‹ā€ā™€ļøā¤ļø

Most days it’s just me talking to God like, ā€œOkay… so here’s what’s happeningā€¦ā€ followed by a mild panic and a request for help. šŸ˜‚

But maybe that’s the point. Prayer doesn’t have to sound perfect or polished. Sometimes it really is just, ā€œGod, I need you.ā€

And trust me, He hears that one A LOT from me. šŸ˜‚šŸ¤

Saying yes to everything feels manageable… until it isn’t. šŸ˜…

One more favor, one more meeting, one more thing on the to-do list. I’ve learned the hard way that you can’t be everything to everyone without eventually burying yourself.

Sometimes saying no is just making room for the things that actually deserve your yes. šŸ¤

šŸ˜‚ Okay, but in all seriousness… hire the Gen Z’er.

Some of the best things I’ve learned have come from people younger than me who see the world, technology, and business completely differently.

Experience matters. But so does a fresh perspective.

The older I get, the more I realize leadership isn’t about always being the person with the answers. It’s about knowing when to teach, when to listen, and when to adapt.

Mentor them. Learn from them. Let them challenge the way you’ve always done things.

Their youth isn’t always a weakness. Sometimes it’s exactly the perspective and enegery your business needs. šŸ˜‰

Today’s motivation ā¤ļø

Made it to Friday. šŸ˜‚šŸø

A little reminder for the moms who spent all week taking care of everyone else, managing schedules, working, building careers, running businesses and keeping approximately 47 things in their heads at all times…

You’re allowed to be on your own list too.

Whatever taking care of yourself looks like this weekend, make a little room for it. A workout, a nap, dinner with friends, 30 minutes alone, a date night… or maybe a cocktail after the kids go to bed. šŸ˜‚

You don’t have to earn rest by completely exhausting yourself first.

Cheers to the weekend, moms. šŸ¤šŸø

I used to think ā€œbalanceā€ meant figuring out how to give everything 100% of me at the same time.

Be a present mom. Grow my career. Show up for my marriage. Take care of the house. Exercise. Answer every email. Remember every appointment. And maybe drink my coffee while it’s still hot. šŸ˜‚

I’ve realized that’s not balance. That’s impossible.

Most weeks I’m really just deciding what needs the most attention right now.

A few things that have helped me:

• Pick 2–3 REAL priorities for the week. Everything cannot be urgent.

• Put family time on the calendar too. The people I’m working this hard for deserve space there just as much as my meetings do.

• Ask for help. My husband, family, coworkers and the people around me are part of how I’m able to do what I do. You don’t get extra points for doing everything alone.

• Leave some margin. Kids get sick. Meetings run late. Babies have their own schedules. šŸ˜‚ Packing every minute of the day usually just makes me feel behind.

• Accept that priorities change. Some weeks work needs more of me. Other weeks my kids do. Sometimes I need more of me.

And probably the biggest one… when I’m with my kids, I’m trying to actually be with my kids.

I’m building my career and working toward bigger goals because I want an incredible future for my family.

I just don’t want to be so busy building that future that I miss the life we already have. šŸ¤

Balance isn’t doing everything perfectly.

Sometimes it’s just deciding what deserves you most today.

trigger warning for anyone who hates the sound of teeth grinding šŸ˜…

I found this video from a while back when I was trying to take a cute video of Artist and instead captured his INTENSE teeth grinding. 😭

He’s 6 now… and unfortunately, he STILL does it. šŸ˜‚

His dentist has told us that kids can grow out of it, so we’ve been patiently waiting for the ā€œgrowing out of itā€ part to happen.

It’s one of those parenting things where everyone tells you not to worry, but then you hear THAT sound coming from your child and immediately think, how are your teeth surviving this?!

So now I’m curious…

Parents, did your kids grind their teeth when they were younger? Did they eventually grow out of it? And how old were they when it finally stopped?

Would genuinely love to hear other parents’ experiences because even after all this time, that sound still gets me. šŸ˜…šŸ¤
