Just because a transaction downloaded from your bank doesn’t mean you should automatically click ADD! 🚨

Before adding a bank-feed transaction, check:

🔎 Is it already recorded in QuickBooks?
🔎 Is the category correct?
🔎 Is it a transfer instead of an expense?
🔎 Should it be matched to an existing transaction?

That little bit of extra attention can help prevent duplicates and inaccurate financial reports.

QuickBooks is a great tool — but it still needs a human behind it! 😉

🚨 IMPORTANT 1099 UPDATE FOR BUSINESS OWNERS! 🚨

In case you missed my earlier update, there’s an important change taking effect for payments made beginning in 2026.

💰 The information-reporting threshold for certain payments reported on Form 1099-NEC and Form 1099-MISC has increased:

❌ Previous threshold: $600
✅ New threshold: $2,000

This change applies to certain payments made to persons engaged in a trade or business and certain payments for services.

📌 What does this mean for your business?

If you pay independent contractors or other qualifying vendors during 2026, the new $2,000 threshold may affect whether you’re required to issue a 1099 for those payments.

⚠️ Remember: A higher 1099 reporting threshold does not mean the income becomes tax-free. This change is about the payer’s information-reporting requirement.
