We had a lovely time connecting with some of our local clients at our client socials this week. It’s always a pleasure to spend time together outside the usual meeting setting and enjoy an evening of fellowship.

These gatherings gave us a meaningful opportunity to strengthen the relationships we value with our clients, help us better serve them and their families, and enjoy time together in a relaxed setting.

Do you know the story behind the Wildes Financial Strategies building?

While our doors officially opened on Screven Street in November 2020, the inspiration for our building dates back more than a century.

Our office was modeled after the original Bank of Georgetown, a local landmark that stood at the corner of Front and Broad Streets in the early 1900s. Although the bank was demolished in the 1950s, its architectural character and place in Georgetown's history were not forgotten.

For years, Jeff Wildes, Founder and President of Wildes Financial Strategies, admired the history and architectural beauty of the original bank. Inspired by its significance to the community, he set out to bring a piece of that past back to life. Every detail, from the exterior design to the architectural elements throughout the building, was intentionally created to pay tribute to the original bank and honor Georgetown's rich heritage.

Today, our office serves as both a place to help clients plan for their financial future and a reminder of the community's past.

Scams can show up through emails, text messages, or even phone calls that seem legitimate. So how do you spot the warning signs of a scam?

The biggest red flag is urgency. 🚩 If someone is pressuring you to act quickly, move money, or share personal information right away, that’s a signal to stop and slow down.

Another common tactic is asking for sensitive information like passwords, account numbers, or verification codes. Legitimate institutions will never ask for that unexpectedly.
