October is when most people start thinking about Halloween.
At James Harvey & Associates, we’re thinking about something slightly scarier: waiting until tax season to start thinking about your taxes. 👻
There are still a few months left in the year, which means there’s still time to review your numbers, get your bookkeeping in order, and make strategic decisions before December 31st.
For business owners especially, year-end planning is about knowing where you stand before the calendar flips. Are your books current? Do you have an idea of what your tax liability may look like? Are there deductions or planning opportunities you should be discussing now?
Those conversations are a lot more useful in October than when you’re gathering documents in February.
Because “we’ll figure it out at tax time” is technically a plan.
It’s just not a particularly good one.
James Harvey & Associates offers tax preparation, bookkeeping, tax strategy, and planning to help individuals and businesses head into tax season prepared, not surprised. James Harvey & Associates - Complete Initial Consultation + Intake Form.pdf
