Your financial advisor meeting shouldn’t require two calendars, a commute, and half a day out of the office.

For busy couples, even finding time to sit down together and talk about money can be a challenge. Add an in-person advisor meeting to the mix, and suddenly an important conversation becomes one more logistical hurdle.

That’s one of the advantages of working with a virtual financial advisor.

You can meet from home, the office, or wherever life has you that day. Both partners can be part of the conversation, review the plan together, ask questions, and make important financial decisions without rearranging an entire day to make it happen.

At Hendershott Wealth Management®, virtual doesn’t mean less personal. It means making thoughtful, ongoing financial planning easier to fit into your actual life.
Because managing your wealth is important. Getting to the meeting shouldn’t be the hard part.

Retirement planning isn’t one big decision you make right before you retire.

It’s a series of decisions that change depending on where you are in the journey.

Years out, you may be focused on building wealth and creating flexibility. As retirement gets closer, the questions become more specific:

How much will your lifestyle actually cost? Where will your income come from? How will taxes affect what you have available to spend? When should you claim Social Security? Is your plan prepared for the unexpected?

Knowing what to focus on now can make the path forward feel much clearer.

Our free How Close Am I to Retirement?
Guide includes retirement countdown checklists designed for different stages, plus guidance to help you think through spending, income, taxes, healthcare, and the risks that can impact your plan.

You don’t need to solve every retirement decision today. You need to focus on the right decisions for where you are now.

A financial plan shouldn’t depend on life going exactly according to plan.

Careers change. Families evolve. Tax laws shift. New opportunities emerge. And the financial decisions that made sense a few years ago may need to be revisited today.

That’s why we view financial planning as an ongoing process, not something you set once and leave unchanged.

At Hendershott Wealth Management, our advisors collaborate on important planning decisions, bringing different experiences and perspectives to the table before recommendations are finalized. The goal is to build a strategy that can evolve with you and continue supporting the decisions you make along the way.

Being a virtual wealth management firm doesn't mean our clients are working with an advisor alone behind a computer screen.

Quite the opposite.

Behind every HWM client relationship is a team of people collaborating on the decisions that shape their financial lives.

Your advisor knows you personally and understands your goals. But they also have a team behind them bringing additional expertise and perspective to your planning, investment strategy, tax decisions, and the opportunities and challenges that arise along the way.

That collaboration is intentional.

We've built Hendershott Wealth Management to combine the personal relationship you should expect from your financial advisor with the depth and resources of an experienced wealth management team.

And because we're virtual, we're able to serve clients across the country without allowing geography to determine who gets access to that expertise.

You don't need an advisor who happens to have an office nearby.

You need a financial team built to understand the complexity of your wealth and help you make better decisions with it.

If that’s the kind of wealth management relationship you’re looking for, let’s start a conversation.

The best financial advisors I know didn’t choose this profession because they love spreadsheets.

They chose it because they love helping people navigate the decisions and transitions that shape their lives.

That’s something I’ve thought deeply about as Hendershott Wealth Management has grown.

I want our clients to have an advisor who knows them personally, understands what matters to them, and is there to celebrate the victories and help navigate the challenges.

But I also want that advisor to have an entire team behind them.

That’s why we’ve built HWM around deep client relationships AND collaboration behind the scenes.

You have an advisor who knows you. And you have a team bringing shared expertise, perspective, and care to your financial life.

To me, that’s what great wealth management should look like.

Knowing how much you need to retire is important.

But reaching your retirement number is only one part of building a retirement plan.

You also need to think about:

How will taxes affect the income you actually get to spend?

Where will your retirement income come from, and in what order should you draw from different accounts?

How could inflation and healthcare costs change what you need?

Is your portfolio positioned appropriately for the transition from accumulating wealth to living from it?

And how do you protect the wealth you want to preserve for the people and causes you care about?

These decisions become increasingly interconnected as retirement gets closer.

That’s why we created our free retirement guide, **How Close Am I to Retirement?**

It will help you think beyond a single retirement number and start evaluating the different pieces that can determine how confidently you enter retirement.

Your financial advisor doesn’t need to be down the street to know your financial life deeply.

In fact, one of the things I love about being a virtual wealth management firm is that geography doesn’t have to determine who you trust with your wealth.

You can choose an advisor based on their expertise, planning philosophy, and ability to understand the complexities of your financial life, not their ZIP code.

And when life changes, your advisory relationship can move with you.

A new job takes you across the country. You buy a second home. You retire somewhere new. You decide to spend part of the year closer to your children or grandchildren.

Your financial team is still right there.

At Hendershott Wealth Management, we’ve intentionally built a virtual client experience that allows us to develop deep, long-term relationships with the people we serve, wherever life takes them.

Because great financial advice isn't about being in the same room.

It's about having the right people in your corner.

If you’re looking for a wealth management team with the expertise to help you navigate your complete financial life, we’d love to meet you.

You can have a significant amount invested and still have no idea whether you’re actually on track for retirement.

That’s because your account balance alone can’t answer the question.

Retirement planning starts with understanding the life you want your wealth to support, what that life is likely to cost, and how much your portfolio will need to produce each year to fund it.

Only then can you meaningfully ask:

Am I on track?

Is there a gap?

And if there is, what’s the smartest way to close it?

The answer might involve your investment strategy, taxes, Social Security, spending, saving more, or even adjusting your retirement timeline.

But you can’t identify the right solution until you understand the numbers.

*Feeling behind and actually being behind are two very different things.*

Most investors think uncertainty comes and goes.

It doesn’t.

What changes is how uncertainty feels.

When markets are rising, risks can be easy to overlook. When markets are falling, those same risks can suddenly feel overwhelming.

But good investment management isn’t about pretending uncertainty doesn’t exist. And it isn’t about reacting every time the headlines change.

It’s about understanding which risks matter, which ones are already accounted for in your strategy, and when new information actually warrants a change.

That requires more than staying calm. It requires a financial plan and investment strategy designed to adapt as your life, markets, tax laws, and economic conditions change.

We may not be able to predict what happens next. But we can prepare for a wide range of what might.

Retirement planning isn't only about what you do.

When you do it matters, too.

The decisions that deserve your attention 25 years from retirement aren't necessarily the same ones that should be at the top of your list when you're five years away.

Earlier in your career, you may be focused on defining the retirement you want, maximizing savings, building an appropriate investment strategy, and creating tax diversification.

As retirement gets closer, the questions become more immediate.

When exactly can I retire?

How will I create income from my portfolio?

When should I claim Social Security?

What will healthcare cost?

How should my investment strategy change?

What tax decisions should I be making before I retire?

Our free retirement guide includes detailed checklists for 25, 15, and 5 years from retirement to help you identify the decisions worth focusing on at your stage.

Because the more time you have to make thoughtful decisions, the more options you may have available to you.
