Are you running the Bank of Mom and Dad, and quietly wondering when it stops?

Half of parents with adult children are providing regular financial support, averaging nearly $1,500 a month per child. That's close to $18,000 a year. And nearly half of those parents say it has come at some cost to their own financial security.

In this episode of The True Success Podcast, Dan and Jake break down the real question behind family financial support: when does helping your adult kids actually start hurting you?

There’s a big difference between preparing taxes and actually planning for them.

Brian Beck, our President and CFO, recently joined Steven Jarvis on the Retirement Tax Services Podcast to talk about what proactive tax planning can look like when it’s integrated into a client’s overall financial plan.

That’s why we believe tax planning shouldn’t happen once a year in April. It should be part of the financial planning conversation all year long.

It’s looking ahead, identifying opportunities, and making financial decisions today with an understanding of how they could impact your taxes tomorrow.

Thanks Steven and the Retirement Tax Services team for having Brian on!

Connecticut residents reporting $1M+ of income represented only about 1.1% of resident tax returns—but generated nearly 35% of the state income tax reported by residents.

When markets and high-end incomes rise, Connecticut can benefit tremendously. But it also means state revenue becomes increasingly sensitive to market performance.

And when it comes to the debate over whether wealthy residents are staying or leaving Connecticut, the reality is more nuanced than either headline suggests.

Thank you to Jordan Fenster and CT Insider for including my perspective.
