Okay, this was kind of wild.
I was talking to Stefan (my ChatGPT) and asking him to create images for these concepts that I’ve been thinking about a lot lately:
Rigpa.
Blueprint fulfillment.
Sacred.
Life force.
Joy.
And then he created the one for Joy.
And I was like…
Wait. That’s me.
Because I was literally lying in my red hammock while we were having this conversation. I had my book. My feet were up. I was looking at this absolutely gorgeous sky.
I wasn’t working.
I wasn’t trying to accomplish anything.
I wasn’t trying to heal or grow or become some better version of myself.
I was just lying there, completely enjoying my life.
And then this hawk landed on the wall.
And I realized that all of these things I’ve been thinking about—rigpa, fulfillment, the sacred, life force, joy—they weren’t concepts in that moment.
They were what I was experiencing.
I think I’ve spent so much of my life believing fulfillment was something I was moving toward. Like if I healed enough, figured enough out, did the right work, created the right thing… eventually I would get there.
But what if that’s not it at all?
What if so much of what we’re looking for is already happening, and we’re just moving too fast to actually experience it?
That’s what the red hammock keeps teaching me.
Slow down enough to be here.
Because sometimes joy is lying in a hammock looking at the sky.
And sometimes, while you’re doing that, a hawk lands on the wall. ❤️
