The holidays have a way of filling every open space on the calendar.
Travel, family, shopping. events and end-of-work deadlines.
That is exactly why financial planning often gets pushed aside until there is very little time left to act.
Your Last 25% Review is a chance to get ahead of that.

Review retirement contributions, taxes, HSA or FSA balances, charitable plans, required distributions, and any major financial changes from the year.

You do not need to overhaul your entire financial plan.

You just need to make sure important deadlines and opportunities are not lost in the year-end rush.

If you have questions about what deserves attention before December 31, reach out. We would be happy to review it with you.

☕ Happy National Coffee Day!

Around here, coffee is more than just a morning ritual. It’s a good excuse to slow down, catch up, and start the day together.

Whether you take yours black, sweet, iced, or with enough cream to make it dessert… we hope you enjoy an extra cup today!

Cheers to good coffee and good conversations. ☕❤️

Not every financial decision has to be completed before year end, but some do.

That can include required minimum distributions, certain charitable contributions, tax-planning moves, and decisions regarding taxable investment accounts.

Waiting until the last week of December can create unnecessary pressure.

A fourth-quarter review gives you time to ask:
What needs action now? What can wait? And what should be coordinated before the calendar turns?

Sometimes the best year-end strategy is simply starting the conversation early.

09/15/2026

One of the easiest year-end opportunities to miss is simply not checking where you stand.
Before the year wraps up, review your progress on:

• 401(k) or workplace retirement plan contributions
• IRA contributions
• HSA contributions
• Employer matching opportunities

You may still have time to adjust contributions, especially through payroll.

The goal is not to automatically max out every account. It is to ensure your current savings strategy still aligns with your priorities.

Year-end tends to move quickly, so now is a good time to check your numbers.

Happy Grandparents Day! ❤️

Grandparents have a special way of making life a little sweeter — sharing stories, creating traditions, offering wisdom, and making memories that last for generations.

Today, we celebrate the grandparents who have helped shape our families and the legacy they leave behind.

Wishing all the grandparents in our LaRuffa Financial Group family a very happy Grandparents Day!

Here’s to the stories, traditions, and memories that are passed down from one generation to the next. 💙

September 11 — Patriot Day

Today, we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the families, first responders, military members, and countless others whose lives were forever changed.

For many of us, September 11 is more than a date in history.
- We know someone who was there.
- We know someone who responded.
- We know someone who was affected.

Today, we remember those we lost, honor those who served, and keep their stories and sacrifices in our hearts.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

09/08/2026

By the time September arrives, most of the year is behind us.
That can make it easy to shift into holiday mode and tell yourself you’ll deal with finances in January.

But the final quarter still gives you time to make meaningful decisions around retirement contributions, taxes, charitable giving, healthcare accounts, and other year-end deadlines.

Think of it as your Last 25% Review.

A little attention now can help you avoid rushed decisions in December.

If you have not reviewed your financial plan recently, the fourth quarter is a good time to assess what still needs attention.

📝✨ August is Make-A-Will Month! ✨📝

In that spirit, we're raising awareness about the importance of creating a will. Now is the perfect time to have your wishes clearly outlined. Or if you have a will, August is a great time to review it and see if it remains aligned with your wishes.

Creating a will isn't just about assets; it's about leaving a legacy, making your intentions known, and thinking about your loved ones' future.

Here are a few reasons why having an up-to-date will is essential:
Your Loved Ones: Outline how you want your family to be cared for, especially any children under 18.
Manage Conflicts: Clear instructions can help during disputes and misunderstandings.
Your Legacy: How will your assets, possessions, and digital presence be distributed and managed?
Have Your Affairs in Order: Comfort for you and your loved ones.

Let's make this month count by taking steps towards your future!

Creating a will is crucial, but remember: life changes. When it does, so should your estate strategy. Regularly updating your will keeps it aligned with your current circumstances and wishes. Here are 7 reasons to revisit your will:

1️⃣ Family Changes: Marriage, divorce, births, or losses can impact your strategy.
2️⃣ Relocation: Different places, different laws.
3️⃣ Financial Shifts: Reflect on your current assets.
4️⃣ Executor/Trustee: Ensure they’re still the right choice.
5️⃣ Law Changes: Stay compliant and minimize taxes.
6️⃣ Beneficiary Updates: Reflect evolving relationships.
7️⃣ Time: Review every 3-5 years.
