The email. The receipts. The spreadsheet that you're avoiding. Whatever keeps living rent free in your brain, bring it here.

Parallel Play is coworking without the “get your life together first” requirement. We bring our own tasks and work alongside each other. You don’t have to work on your books, and you don’t have to explain how your brain works.

No diagnosis required. No perfectly organized to-do list. No apology for how long you’ve been putting it off.

We'll see you there!

We could all use a little less “Can I afford that?” and a little more “What’s the plan for Saturday?” Knowing where your business stands, and having a financial forecast for what’s coming helps.

It won’t make running a business worry-free. But a clearer picture of what’s coming in, what’s going out, and what’s ahead can help you close the laptop without mentally opening 37 new tabs.

If your numbers still feel like a guessing game, I’m here to help make them make sense. No jargon. No judgment.

Here’s to clearer numbers and a weekend with a little more breathing room.

Morning person, afternoon momentum, late-night genius hour, or someone whose focus shows up only after coffee and a little deadline pressure?

You are not the only one whose brain works that way.

Some people are sharpest early. Some hit their stride later in the day. Some need a slower start before the good ideas show up. There is no single “right” time to be productive, just the time that tends to work best for you.

Fun fact: this is connected to something called your chronotype, or your natural preference for when you sleep, wake, and feel most alert. People often perform better when the timing of a task matches their own peak time of day, not when they are trying to force themselves into someone else’s schedule.

Pay attention to when your brain has the most energy, focus, or creative momentum, and build around that when you can.

Follow for bookkeeping support, business systems, and reminders that your business does not have to run in a straight line to run well.

Does your brain ever try to take a weekend off, then open 17 tabs when you're least expecting it.

Here's your reminder that having a brain full of ideas, loose ends, and "wait, what about..." does not mean you need to solve all of it today. It's ok to relax, and you don't need to "earn" it.

What is one tab your brain keeps opening lately?

The first day of fall feels like a good time to reset, not reinvent your whole life or start another vision board.

If your bookkeeping has been sitting untouched, I can help you get clear on where things stand and what kind of support makes sense. Without the jargon or judgement.

And if it is not your books, but the proposal, invoice, email, planning task, or general business to-do list that has been hanging over your head, come work alongside us tomorrow!

Virtual coworking happens every Wednesday. Bring whatever is on your list, settle in with the community, and use a little body-doubling energy to get started.

A little structure, a little company, and one less thing taking up space in your brain.

It is tempting to jump straight to next year’s goals.

More clients. More income. A new offer. A bigger space. A slower season. Finally paying yourself consistently.

But the best place to start is not a fresh planner or a fancy vision board. It's a clear look at what this year has actually looked like.

What brought in the most revenue?
What cost more than expected?
Which season felt strong?
Where did the money go?
What do you want to do differently next time?

Your numbers are not there to judge you. They are there to help you make decisions with something better than a gut feeling.

If you want to plan ahead without guessing, I can help you get clear, through done-for-you bookkeeping, a one-time project, or Learn & DIY support that gives you a system you can actually use.

You have probably seen the term body doubling floating around social media.

Body doubling means working alongside another person while each of you works on your own task, online or in the same room.

It is not about someone watching you work. It is about shared focus, a little structure, and making the starting part feel less impossible.

Body doubling can provide an external focus cue and gentle accountability, which may support task initiation and follow-through for people with ADHD and for anyone who finds solo work isolating or difficult to start.

That is what Ledger Lounge is for.

Join us this Wednesday, in person or online. Bring the thing you have been meaning to start; leave with a little more progress than you had before.

In person: 10 AM–1 PM -Evergreen Lane Events-31832 State Highway 19, Redwood Falls, MN (With in person support from Janet Cram and Cara Menz).

Did you know The Ledger Lounge happens in person, too?

Bring your laptop, settle in, and make progress on whatever has been sitting on your to-do list a little too long.

Bookkeeping is welcome, but it is not the only thing you can bring. Need to send an invoice, finish a proposal, organize your next steps, work through a business question, or simply get something done alongside other people? Come on in!

Janet Cram will be there for bookkeeping support, and Cara Menz will be there for strategy and vision. It’s a supportive, body-doubling kind of space with room to ask the questions that have been burning in the back of your mind.

There will also be hot-seat opportunities for focused help with a business question, roadblock, or next step.

The Ledger Lounge
Next Wednesday - 10 AM–1 PM
Evergreen Lane Events
31832 State Highway 19, Redwood Falls, MN

A question that comes up constantly in business, "Can I afford this?"

Can I hire help, order more inventory, pay myself, say yes to this opportunity (and the list goes on).

Your bank balance can give you a clue, but it's not the whole picture. This is what clear books are for.

Not to make you stare at spreadsheets all day, but to help you make decisions with more than a hopeful guess.

If you're ready to feel more confident about your decision or don't know where to start, I can help. It starts with a judgement free conversation.
