35 Years on the Course: Golfers Celebrate Bay College Golf Outing Milestone
For 35 years, the Bay College “Swing for Scholarships” Golf Outing has brought together community members, businesses, alumni, and friends in support of student scholarships. Two familiar faces have been part of the tradition from the very beginning.
Bill Marmalick and Dave Pechawer have participated in the Bay College Golf Outing every year since its inception, making the 2026 outing their 35th year on the course.
Longtime friends and avid golfers, Marmalick and Pechawer have shared countless rounds of golf over the years and continue to maintain a standing weekly tee time. Their friendship and love of the game have also been paired with a longstanding commitment to Bay College. Both serve on the Bay College Golf Committee, helping to plan and support the outing they have participated in since its inception. Both have also been dedicated supporters of the College and its students, with Marmalick serving on the Bay College Foundation Board.
